Ok so now if SL have a IPL type league where Pakistani fans are looking forward to their players play..........will there MVF award .....Most Valuable Fixer............and a Spot fixer of the day award in this tournament:yay: Wahab Riaz to be Fixer of Series i feel.

Sangakkara questions cricket fix claims May 2, 2011 AFP Sri Lanka's World Cup captain Kumar Sangakkara has challenged former skipper Hashan Tillakaratne to prove his recent allegations of rampant match-fixing. "Hashan has played the game for years and he's captained Sri Lanka as well. So it's interesting to see what he has to say and if he has anything more than allegations," Sangakkara was quoted as saying by the Press Trust of India news agency. Tillakaratne, who played 83 Tests and 200 one-dayers during a 15-year career, claimed last week that Sri Lankan players had been involved in match-fixing since 1992 and added that he was prepared to name some of them. Sangakkara, captain of the Deccan Chargers franchise in the Indian Premier League, said Tillakaratne should work with the International Cricket Council if there was any basis to his allegations. "It's dangerous to throw names around," said Sangakkara, who quit as captain after Sri Lanka's defeat to India in the World Cup final last month. "He should work very closely with the ACSU (Anti-corruption and Security Unit) of the ICC and the home authorities to ensure that something's done about it if there is any foundation to those claims. "But beyond that I don't think it makes any big sense to the players playing now." Tillakaratne's comments came as the sport tries to emerge from last year's spot-fixing scandal involving some of the top Pakistan players. He had stopped short of suggesting the World Cup final was rigged although he expressed reservations about the selection of the Sri Lankan team. Now an opposition politician, Tillakaratne stopped short of naming people but said he might in the future.

FYI Hashan Tilakatatne WAS a test captain and now he is a useless politician in the opposition party. the governing party holding 2/3 of the Parliament and opposition can do nothing other than making such a noise for attention.

I m telling again and again. The finals of the CWC 2011 IS FIXED due to political influence . All the people who have a clue about cricket knows it in SL. But this 3rd Class politician is ask for attention of the people by making such a noise as it has been done since 1992. nobody cares on this guy after join with dirty politics n now he and his party asking for attention..thats wht he is doing....cant help May be Sanath Jayasuriya will fall in to this category in near future.

If it was fixed in 2011, it can very well be fixed since 1992 also. You cannot pick and choose history applying your argument selectively. So in essence you are agreeing to what Tilikeretne said, Political or for other reasons, the Sri Lankan team has been indulging in fixing for the last 20 years.

Exactly! The final was fixed in favour of India under pressure by our (Indian) government. But I am unable to understand how you ( SL) guys managed to beat Canada? Did you threaten them with an invasion?

Tilakaratne...should have opened his mouth a long time before. But he chose now. IMO...he betted a lot of his & govern money on SL winning the WC. But since they lost...he is finding excuses.
