Gambhir to captain, Badrinath in for limited-overs leg in WI

WI are not playing particularly good cricket at the moment. Its just that their current opposition (Pak) is so poor that you get the impression that they're actually playing well. This Indian team will win the ODI series at least by a margin of 4-1.

dont underestimate them. Zak will not be in the team for this ODI series. We won WC ODI against WI because of ZAK. Our bowling is very weak when we have bowlers like Munna you know what can happen, like it happened last night, ek jeeta hua match MI haar gaye:cantstop:

I am very happy that Amit Mishra has been selected. He has improved a lot in the shorter versions recently and the way he is mixing his leg spinners, googlies and flippers has been spectacular. He deserves a place. Ambati Rayudu over Saha would have been better as we have one regular keeper in Parthiv. Rayudu could have been used as a batsman only, if required. Aaron in place of Vinay Kumar as we have 3 medium pacers among the 4 and some more pace would have been better. A low profile tour like WI would have been ideal to test Aaron as he has been quite accurate even at his pace. The rest of the squad is excellent although resting Harbhajan and taking Rahul Sharma might have given Harbhajan the rest that he badly needs.

While too much importance should not be given to IPL performance, it should not be ignored completely if we are choosing an ODI side, especially for a cricketer who has performed well in Test matches. Also, I am talking about the way he is bowling now and not just his IPL record. He is displaying a lot of bowling skill and is putting some thought into his limited overs bowling.
