The baffling thing is the same team which went kicking people around suddenly became toothless. Is it a case of other teams picking up the intensity or too much dependence on Malinga?

Something isn't right after Mumbai CHeer Girl was kicked out :P :mi: are really missing daily dose of Walking p0rn :cantstop:

Just to add. This is only third time in IPL history that a team has been defeated by 10 wickets. Only MI can achieve such a feat. :D
Another Aussie and Another Indian middle order batsman combined in one of those 10 wicket wins. Gilly and Laxman.

Pitches getting slow.. Venkat Sundaram said the same thing. So much of cricket having been played on these pitches, they are getting slow and pragmatic captains and teams have realised that ang have packed their team with spinners/slow bowlers (look how Bravo bowled the other day) and batsmen who are good players of spin.. The dickheads in MI failed to realised that and are paying the price. To have a lone spinner like a wide dart chucker like Bhajji should've sent alarm bell ringing..It's too late now.. The MI fans were hoping for some pragmatic captaincy, team selection, batting order..Instead they got roasted for pathetic captaincy..

They should have realized this after the final last year. Pitches in India at this time of the year are always going to be like this. Harbhajan has been pathetic barring one game and they show him off as he if he some divine form....

Bhajji would've said to Sachin, "Paaji.. Don't worry about Spin department. Main Hoo Naa (I'm there). You just sort out the pace bowling department.." I'm amazed at Sachins captaincy. Evenybody knows that he is not as good a captain as others are but given his vast experience, atleast he should've read the pitches and situations better...Unless he has been deliberately trying to be benovalent to all the teams..

Everybody is free to make their decision. MI fans want to support CSK...so be it.

Problem with Mumbai is that other than Malinga they don't have a "go to" bowler. Munaf is good but he gets his wickets when opponents go after him and even then he's not a bowler who will pick up wickets every game. As for Harbhajan he's not even make the top 5 spinners in the country list at the moment. Spinners like Ashwin, Rahul Sharma, Iqbal Abdulla, Jakati, Mishra etc. have outbowled him. Bhajji gets his wkts if pressure is put on opposition batsmen by Malinga and they try to go after Bhajji. If the Reqd RR is low or Malinga fails to take wkts he can't do much and almost looks like a part timer. Bhajji's form is a big concern for India as he's on the slide and even in world cup Ashwin and Yuvi outbowled him. Now onto batting. Tendulkar at the top is almost like Kallis these days - he will get runs but at a much slower rate. He might play a quickfire innings or two but mostly he hasn't been a dynamite at the top. In T20 a quickfire 30 can be more beneficial than a solid 50 as the opening salvo sets the tone for the rest of the innings. Mumbai doesn't have anyone who can do it for them. Tendulkar keeps one end up and the wkts fall at the other end. Again, reliance on not so good players like Jacobs, Blizzard, Suman is the reason for the same. Mumbai's main batsmen this season have been Rayudu and Rohit Sharma - Symonds doesn't play regular cricket anymore and is a hit and miss at the moment, and Pollard bats way too down for him to make a difference. Baffling thing is Tendulkar or the Mumbai management has persisted with the same strategy of Pollard way down the order even thoug they lost IPL3 final due to the same reason and have already lost a few games this season as well for the very same reason. In T20 or odis you need to give your best batsmen/power hitters enough overs for them to make a difference. Pune is also making the same mistake by keeping Yuvi way down the order when he should be coming in at 3 or 4. And to make it worse for Mumbai, Tendulkar is captaining them :giggle:

This season' date=' there is hardly any noise. A sober thread by DomainK, and most of the chatter has been from CSK fans? unless I missed something[/quote'] Mariyam has been making noise for :mi:

Mumbai are a one-dimensional team, peaked early and now look washed up. It doesn't help either to be playing with 9 men as they effectively are since they inexplicably pick Symonds and Singh every game, rather than putting them in the retirement home where they belong.
