vvvslaxman Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 Ya.. apart from couple of bad balls that went for 6.. he bowled lot of good deliveries. Bollinger saved the day for them.

prasadiyer Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 The blow was sickening and hope there is no lasting injury. But how is this the IPL's fault? It could happen in any match. Some posters here have really a strange way of thinking. Or maybe their thinking is just muddled due to their blind hatred for the IPL.

Mariyam Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Heard on the radio a while ago that the X-ray tests do not show any anomaly. He may however not be able to practice till the 28th.
Sidhoni Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 It just touched his fingertips, otherwise would have hit him straight in the eye, Thank God for that..!!
Sachinism Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Horrible blow. Seemed OK when he was sitting in the pod thingy
Raghav_12 Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 You want to end up like that, boy ? :hysterical::hysterical:

ganeshran Posted May 25, 2011 Author Posted May 25, 2011 Blows to the head are very risky. I hope CSK physio gets him checked thorughly including MRI scans too
glogirl Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 i think he came back to chennai.... and dean jones told inn ndtv that it was not fair of those bangalore batsmen to go for two runs when someone was hit that badly.......
phaedrus Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 man, that was a hell of a hit to his head. everyone in the room winced when we saw the replay. Could very well have been his left eye. Hope he's doing well now

vvvslaxman Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Anyone got hit like that. I got hit standing at forward short leg. A full blooded sweep shot landed right on my temple when i was in school. I completely blacked out for a few seconds. But i managed to regain my composure.
ganeshran Posted May 26, 2011 Author Posted May 26, 2011 I was once trying for a sweep shot but the bowler bowled a full toss. Ball hit the bat's leading edge and me right on the nose. I had bleeding and considerable amount of pain for 2-3 days :((
desi pride 4321 Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 i had two fractures in my hand after i picked up a fight in a local cricket match three years back. cudnt play cricket for almost 8 months. i fractured his skull tho. ashwin's head injury reminded me of those days.
