ICC let this cat out of bag when they cleared ppl like Akhtar Murali and Bhajji.Bent elbows whilst delivering a cricket ball is something many people are not comfortable with. If you can accuse Bhaji then two can play this game.

I know Australians had complained in the first series he played against them in Abu Dhabi. Watson had rolled his arm over like Murali, pointing out to the umpire and bowler ( Ajmal ) what he thought. Other than Saqlain, doosra of any bowler looks fishy. If upto 15 degrees, the bend is not visible, his doosra certainly extends that

Thats the oldest trick in the book for chuckers. harbhajan does not chuck. His action is clean now as he does not bowl doosra now. He only bowls top spin. I have not seen him bowling doosra in a while that is why he has become so ineffective...

Richards reminds me of Guru Greg who questioned Akhtar action after India lost by huge margin in Karachi. ganeshran Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 The doosra cannot be bowled legally... unless you have wrists made of rubber enough to generate all the spin without using the elbow. Murali's natural deformity and supple wrists allow him to bow the ball far better than Botha, Bhajji and Ajmal, even though his action looks the most suspect. Saqlain was the only one who made genuine effort to bowl it legally. All three - Botha, bhajji and Ajmal chuck blatantly. Bhajji has atleast stopped bowling it, but Ajmal bowls them quite frequently. Its only a matter of time before he is called for it.

Rameez Raja and Holding did some measurement using a protractor during the live telecast and showed the elbow of Ajmal bendt by over 35 degrees.
ganeshran Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 They shouldnt use a protractor, it wont be accurate. Tests should be done in the bio mechanical lab. Problem is, bowlers take extra care to bowl the delivery legally during testing.
