In the form Gayle is in, you have to get that lucky break against him. We didn't. We weren't even close. Spinners, seamers, slingers were all hit. These guys were better than us today. We lost to the better team , though we could have given them a better fight. For the next season I want to see a new captain and maybe another specialist spinner+hitter all rounder. Thats my wish list. You have no idea about cricket, do you? Yup Mumbai may well have lost to Bangalore but sorry to say but Tendulkar gift wrapped the match for Bangalore. First he opted to chase on a pitch which breaks and aids spin as the game goes on. Secondly he decided to open with Abu Nachim against Gayle when he had Malinga. Gayle is the wicket you have to get if you want to win and for that you need your best bowler. I don't even know what Tendulkar thought when he went with Nachim. Gayle could very well have taken Malinga apart but you can accept the fact that your best wasn't good enough. But when you ask an inexperienced youngster to go against Gayle and concede 27 runs in the first over, I am afraid the loss is on you. Mumbai were never in the game after the first over and it was coz of Tendulkar's decision to bowl Abu Nachim first up.

Plus the speed at which Bhajji bowled Too short and too quick :facepalm: 4) :fail: in batting order. Pollard should have opened as he would have anyways struggled on the slow Chennai wicket against Vettori. 5) Spoling the batting order by not keeping Rayyudu at no.3 where he has done so well. I don't quite understand why was he kept at no.6 ? :dontknow: All in all it was a massive blunder in such a crucial game. It was as if they didn't want to win. :(( Very disappointed

Unlike Dhoni, he can't come up a with captaincy move that might have a bearing on the match. SRT is best left to his batting duties.
