They showed the so called sting operartion on a news channel and all that they could show was single Africans or group of African boys not being allowed into pubs as only couples were allowed. No were did anyone say that the Africans are being denied entry due to their skin color. Looks more like a case of mischevious and sensationalized reporting. As somebody pointed out that they were blocked because of the long-standing norm of single guy or a guys only group not being allowed. This is pathetic reporting. Journalism standards in India have fallen as much as they could fall. And there are more and more news channels opening in future.:wall:

Which is very hypocritical considering the fact that we are the loudest when Indians are persecuted anywhere and our media constantly tries to link even criminal attacks in foreign countries as acts of racism

Here is small incident (not a pure racist incident but still annoying and disrespectful) My sister and Bhabhi visited the Samayakk store in Bangalore with one of their German friend. The guys over there completely ignored my sister and bhabhi and were all over the foreigner friend : " juice sir, water sir, what would u like to see sir.. and so on".. My bhabhi was stunned and lost her temper - it was so disrespectful to the ladies, as they were the one who were supposed to do shopping and gave the store people quite some lecture. Sadly there is more of such people and they wont change any sooner.

In Japan and Korea, although most of the time it is blacks, in a lot of clubs, brown and whites also get discriminated against. In happens in US too, although they cannot legally do it by color, they do it with looks or other arbitrary criteria. In India though, it is customary to discriminate against its own kind. In a very popular pub in chennai, i wasnt allowed to sit in one floor of the pub which was supposedly reserved for only groups with girls in them. If that wasnt bad enough, they allowed white males without female companion in that floor.

That's generally the norm in discs in Bangalore, not pubs. Imagine the revenue loss they'd incur if they started stopping stags from pubs in Bangalore really!

There have been many instances last few months where african guys got arrested in molestation and murder cases apart from regular drug peddling in delhi alone. A few days back a group of sudanese students killed a mizo classmate in a brawl duriing a football match in Jalandhar. But I feel bad seeing how the dilli shopkeeper treats them. Feckin racist. They dont evn spare fellow north-eastern.

North Easties are the worst victims of racism in India IMO. I have seen many of them being referred to as "Chinese" behind their backs and even front of them sometimes. What could be more perverse than calling your countrymen as belonging to a different country, just because they look different and follow different cultural practises? An equivalent practice would be to call Punjabis as Pakistanis and Madrasis as Sri Lankans.

All the whities wanna be black by trying to act black and sit in the sun all day while all the brownies/blacks try and act white with all these skin products and staying out of the sun etc. Fecked up world we live in these days. :haha:

They should be charged extra money for entrance - proportional to the color of the skin.
