Plus Kohli can pace the ODI innings much better than what Clarke used to do or does. Yea.. Kohli can accelerate. Michael Clarke used to bat lot more positively. Approach of building an innings is somewhat similar.

Sir_Afridi Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 Good achievement by Kohli. He has a good head on his shoulder also helped by senior players like Sachin & Dhoni. Umar Akmal is more talented than Kohli and better impact player and needs to learn the importance of playing long innings from Kohli.

A highly flamboyant player like Umar Akmal will never be consistent enough, though if he can change his style of play a bit and being subtlety and patience in his game, he can be as good as any.
