achilles Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Raina played a good knock. Still couldn't play the bouncer, but he managed to get past 50. Good work. But saying that he is better than Kohli, Pujara, Sharma and all that is pure garbage.
veer Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 one day raina plays well.. and his fans will come out. .another day virat plays well and raina bashers come out.. and then add rohit sharma into the mix.. this will keep on going for next 10 yrs.. I am happy that one of these guys are coming up wid runs.. like all three of those guys.. they have their few weaknesses but as long as they are trying.. i am gud.
Freedom Posted June 21, 2011 Author Posted June 21, 2011 Team to eat humble Pie. But the thread will make more sense when rohit gets to play test cricket. You will know how better he is compared to Raina. RG sharma is real deal. Wait and watch! Not sure what to tell people who think OP is Pwned

sarcastic Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 BUMP!!! Raina is proving where he belongs and why it is not such a disgrace that he is chosen to play test matches!!!! It is not easy to see Rohit Sharma doing well either given how Kohli has been failing in the series!!!
punjabi_khota Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 The OP should kill himself again if he survived the first time.
spectre Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Its a shame that Raina plays test cricket for India He looks awkward when playing short pitched stuff and since India has a big queue of 'Pontings and Laras' who are experts at playing short pitched stuff, he should be no where near the Indian team So what if he scores those big runs, he doesn't look technically sound like the Pujaras nor can give classy poses like Nohit's He works really hard and is a committed cricketer, so what, it matters zilch since he failed once in Southafrica He will never make it big in test cricket , since there are different yardsticks for different people. Please save Indian cricket by dropping him immediately
punjabi_khota Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 But is he better than the imaginary next Dravid ?
desi pride 1234 Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 veeru was accused of the same thing. who cares abt these things when these guys score runs at will?
Mystique_Myth Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 FAIL THREAD.. then we must remove Dhoni.. Sehwag too :P
Sid Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 FAIL THREAD.. then we must remove Dhoni.. Sehwag too :P :fail: post Its a sarcasm thread
yoda Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Much ado about nothing. It is not like he is going to be dropped now. It all comes down to how you perform. If Raina does well he stays, if he sucks he goes. Same for Badri, Mukund, Kohli or anyone. Currently, we have only one permanent slot available in the test team given that Sehwag, Gambhir, RD, SRT, LAX and Dhoni take up 6 of the 7 batsmen spots. As of now, Raina clearly is the leading contender for that.
vvvslaxman Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 We keep hoping "someone will be our future"... out of the blue some random dude is going to pick up the baton from Dravid/Laxman. It may not even be from the current bunch.
