Really, i got no idea why this 5 feet 120-125 kmp bowler is slected for india. he panicked in the final overs and bowled full tosses and over pitched deliveries. We have pace bowlers like varun aaron and umesh yadav who can bowl with pace. y not select them?

However, Umesh Yadav should be nowhere near the India team. He has pace and NOTHING else.

agree, but poor guy only got one game where he bowled an excellent 1st spell (miles better than Ishant)....he was more let down by the Indian batsman not posting enough for him to defend a decent total. If anything, below par total was for the likes of Ishant and Mishra as strike bowlers to make something of it. Ishant was hopeless from the start and Mishra lost the plot under pressure.

Fact is all the bowlers we have are crap except Zaheer. Even he can have horrible days in ODIs like he had against Perera in world cup final. Nehra who consistently maintains an ER of 6, Munna bhai who had a rare good cluster of ODIs in his career,Sreesanth a loose cannon.. have all got similar criticisms over the last few years. Bottomline is we don't have wicket taking fast bowlers. Period. You don't see an Indian seamer who just comes in and gets 2 or 3 wickets in quick succession.

He have not performed in whatever chances he have got so far. come on man, he got no pace or swing to trouble the international batsmen. he has got many wickets in domestic tournaments, but unfortunately vinay will never ever be an international bowler.

Which is why the batsmen need to score a few extra runs in every game and not fold like we did today. Even in the WC with our best attack, we couldn't defend for toffee. We collapsed against SA and couldn't defend close to 300. Couldn't defend close to 340 vs England.

we dont have enough good bowler in domestic circut.vinay bowl very well in first spell.i think raina made a mistake.vinay should have been bowl his overs in a single spell.

Lets not forget, the main culprits for both losses were the batsmen. To loose by more than 100 runs chasing 250 and to get all out with 15 balls left, is a massive short-coming from the batsmen.

Don't know who is gonna bowls once Zaheer retire : don't see any worldclass fast bowlers among young players once : sachin , dravid and vvs are retired our batting gonna struggle too , most of badrinath , tiwary , Dhawan , are FTB ... Only Virat and raina have proved something

There are few but they don't get right opportunities.. Who will be in his right mind select Tundlers like VK etc. for WI tour?

He did the same thing in T20 Cup held in WI where he was carted for 6s by all and sundry when it mattered and amazing thing is he's back in the team!!! I hope selectors have seen enough and don't bring him back. A proven performer like RP Singh should be given a chance ahead of him.

There's no doubt our batting will decline - Tendulkar, Dravid and Laxman are first rate Test batsmen who have been successful for several years and those sorts of players don't grow on trees. But Badrinath, Dhawan and Tiwary are not our big hopes. The likes of Sharma, Pujara, Rahane and Kohli are. In between we have guys like Vijay who is decent but not exceptional at Test level. That's not to say Pujara etc. are guaranteed successes at Test cricket - no one is. But those guys are the ones who have real talent, not Dhawan, Badrinath etc. Now bowling is a huge worry, especially pace bowling, there I agree completely. Only Ishant has genuine talent but he's so horribly inconsistent, even if age is on his side.

I agree.. we are barking at the wrong tree. This is a very inexperienced bowling attack under an inexperienced captain on a good flat surface. Our batsmen wasted 15 deliveries losing 7 wickets for 62 runs. They are 90% responsible for this.

Raina has proved nothing outside India. The only hope of guarantee is Gambhir and Dhoni (though mainly ODIs). We have no-one in the range of 24 to 28 year old (In the AB de Villiers, Amla, Cook mould). Hence this West Indies Test will be more important than ever to highlight future potential and pray the groundsmen provide wickets with bounce and pace.
