SLICKR392 Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Hugh Jackman can pull off Rom-Com,Comedies,Musical all of which Bale has no shot at where as Jackman can be equally good at Drama,Action or dark roles...EVen if Bale can be marginally better at those roles as an allrounder Hugh Jackman handsdown. Hugh Jackman can pull off a Fighter(maybe not as good but he definetely can) or a Batman (Wolverine) etc. but Bale can't pull of Real Steel or Les Miserables Dude, watch his movies first before judging someone. Newsies was a musical and 3:10 Yuma was funny and Harsh Times, certain scenes he was awesome with that American accent which he nailed and was lauded for that. Its like saying Jim Carey can't do comedy after watching only Eternal Sunshine.

Definetely Jackman has more charisma.......Look at the way he hosted oscars it was all based on his theatre background...He is pretty huge on the broadway too.... Bale can be the dark,brooding ******* all he wants or do gimmicks like losing and putting on weight but he can't tie Jackman's shoelaces as a complete actor. Having said that Bale is a great actor in his own right but just doesn't have the theatre credentials or the cool guy charm Jackman has.

There are dedicated actors who take author backed roles and absolutely nail them-Like Bale,Ledger,Gyllenhall,Ben Affleck,Brad Pitt etc,etc. There are other set of actors who bring in their own charisma to any role no matter Author backed or not -Johnny Depp,Hugh Jackman,Leo di Caprio,Matt Damon,R.D.J
