phaedrus Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 no way is badri going to make it. Kohli till the end of the tour.:protest:
Chandan Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 So is it confirmed that Munaf is out and we'll go Mithun? Is that a good news or a bad one considering that Mithun can't get wickets and we've seen that even at domestic level? He is not a strike bowler. How are we going to take 20 wickets then? Batting is more or less settled but Edwards and Rampaul seem to have wood on our openers and Kohli. How will they deal with these seamers on an even more bouncy and pacy Kingston track? Will Laxman gain his form back?
ravishingravi Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Why was Mishra picked ahead of Ojha ? It doesnt make sense. Ojha was attacking and accurate and bowled brilliantly in series against Aussies
cricketman Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 1 Patel 2 Vijay 3 Dravid 4 Laxman 5 Kohli 6 Raina 7 Dhoni 8 Singh 9 Kumar 10 Mishra 11 Ishant Patel in for Mukund. Mukund needs to go back to FC cricket for a year. Patel is a quality bat imo and has ton potential Mithun is awful and should never be considered rofl... 1 match and you have already scrapped Mukund. This is the reason why so much talent in India goes to waste, because we don't allow them to acclimitise and rather go back to the tried and failed options of the past. Patel can SMD. I don't want him anywhere near the national side. Have you seen him field? My grandpa could do a better job. Funny thing is that his 'keeping is almost worse... sure he's a decent bat but we can definately do better

Will Laxman gain his form back? Mithun was highest wicket taker in his first season and was a strike bowler for his team and has only played 2 seasons of FC cricket. Do not make preconceived decisions regarding players based on one-two seasons. Good thing about him is he is not injury prone and has good stamina to bowl long spells.
phaedrus Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 yeah, he was incredibly quick. almost the same speeds as PK. what a waste of space
Karan114 Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 yeah' date= he was incredibly quick. almost the same speeds as PK. what a waste of space :hysterical: Yeah, total rubbish this Mithun guy
Cricket Tragic Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 According to one member, Mithun is going to become India's M Johnson.
rkt.india Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 According to one member' date=' Mithun is going to become India's M Johnson.[/quote'] Right now he is not. HE can if he makes some corrections in his action and go side on rather than bowling front on where he is not able to put any power behind the ball. This is a very little adjustment in his action which will enable him to bowl quicker. This action of him is weird. He has been disappointing in terms of speeds, but I am optimistic that he will improve. He has also bowled some good deliveries and has not given any freebies to hit for 4s, though I would have like Varun Aaron or Umesh Yadav bowling on this pitch with their usual pace. They could have been handy instead of Mithun.
Cricket Tragic Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 Changes for the 3rd test? Mithun goes out and Munaf (if fit)/Mishra could come in. I still they will stick to the same batting line up.
