Sky Sports has the best coverage, so im afraid you cannot talk about coverage. you will see this winter. England has the most beautiful grounds and quality cyrators around the world, they dont need to implant fake wickets to suit T20. So atlast you have come up with two points: Broadcast and Grounds, For Broadcast I cant say cause I am not in England and I am not able to see the Skysport coverage, so for cricket fan like me having a coverage available in my Tv even though i am in any part of the world is much better than assuming that it would be having a good coverage in some part of the world. As for grounds, England always have good grounds so how does that proves that a particular tournament is better, I thought we were discussing two tournaments by your logic any tournament would be better in England why stop for IPL it would be same for Champions Trophy, WC, T20 World championship etc. Still not convinced as to how a neutral fan like you can say FLT20>IPL apart from the fact that your players are playing in that league.

There's NEVER been a better time to be an Indian Cricket fan, EVER. These kinds of threads are testament to that. BISHOO OUT!! (sorry, was watching the Test while typing). Anyway, back to what I was saying. I promise, that the if/when the day comes, that Pakistan produces a domestic league/tournament, which gains masses of interest Worldwide from non-Pakistanis (I know lots of white English boys who have picked IPL teams & support them with a passion). If that day comes, and Indian players are reduced to begging to play in this league. I promise to become so disillusioned with the sport, that I will never associate myself with it again through shame. SARWAN GONE!!!!! (sorry). In summary. Proud of India, proud of the IPL, hopefully one day, will have reason to be proud of Kings XI Punjab. I acknowledge the quality of the English league, but those afore mentioned English lads don't follow it with the same interest as they do the 'foreign' IPL. I'm talking 15-20 lads here...

What happens in IPL, I am really interested, does Sehwag plays defensively, Sachin do not straight drive for four, Steyn is bowling spin, Murli's ball do not turn, some different cricket rules are there why? now please dont come up that since Shahrukh comes to watch the match so its not cricket.

That is pure jealousy as IPL really has set the benchmark with its fielding and brought tons of new strategies to the 3 formats of cricket. If anything, IPL brought a great lift to cricket as it was just fading with less people being interested in it.(Remember 2007 after our disaster WC, there was really loss of passion among us for cricket) IPL basically helped to rejuvenated cricket

IPL tickets were sold for £5 in RSA (BIG FULLSTOP) And even if the latter tickets as Mariyam stated are sold at 3000rps, who buys them? Empty stands etc. And even if tickets are as you say more expensive, well they god damn have to be dont they? Your not just watching cricket, your watching a flippin concert with c grade stars and the occasional Yash Raj honey bunnys! And as i said, whos gonna pay for thos scantily clad polish chicks? their visa issues and accomdations? LOL at comparing the ticket prices in RSA in IPL2 which was two years back. I am not sure if you are intentionally acting dense here. India is the base of the IPL, the prices in RSA have no connecftion to prices in India. Here costs for league games are much higher like Mariyam said. Your not believing doesnt alter the truth.

Cost of ticket? Quality of cricket? Or what? So what if Yash Raj or Shah Rukh Khan or Abhishek Bachchan make it to the games? How the hell does that make the IPL any lesser? What kind of an argument is this? If Kate and Prince William attend a game of Wimbledon or some one from Hollywood watches English football,does that mean those events are crap, just because it pulls celebrities? Tell me this, how does Hampshire having more local talent make the FLT more attractive to you? Why do you think it would make any difference to the fans who are not from Hampshire? BTW: I've been to the IPL finals last time (2010). There were no empty stands whatsoever. The costs of the tickets are always in excess of Rs 750 (league games). You can check that on kyazoonga.com or bookmyshow.com. And this year too, I attended quite a few IPL games. In fact I was there at the Wankhede for the home opener of Mumbai Indians. Though we lost that game, Sachin made a hundred. It was packed. Black mein bhi ticketein nahi mil rahi thi. All this for a league game. Obviously, all cities don't have a full house, but more often than not, attendance percentages are quite high. And don't give me that cheer leader stuff please. Its easier to catch glimpses of the cheerleaders on the TV than at the stadium. Besides, I have no interest in watching cheer leaders. :winky: And there are many like me. I really don't know what to say to you. If you enjoy FLT because you have to compare it to the IPL to feel better about it, good for you. Afridi Peitersen Ajmal Gul Razzaq The mere fact that these 5 players were never part oof IPL 4, and even if KP was part, he was dropped for Ross Taylor by some pathetic coach!

As far as Die HArd fans are concerned I think you have not encountered CSK, Kolkata and Mumbai fans till now come be our guest in next IPL season and then you will know.

This is what Lahori Logic is - stringing some obscure facts together to justify a predetermined conclusion. All the big T20 names were present in IPL including far more accomplished players like Gayle, Steyn, Bollinger, Hussey, Raina and many more. In your list only Afridi and Razzak are decent T20 players. Ajmal and Gul arent T20 players. All the PAkistani players in the first IPL didnt play well either.
