Sehwag1830 Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 It is one thing to get bamboozled by Steyn. But Rampaul and Sammy ? Are these youngster so bad ?
Sehwag1830 Posted July 1, 2011 Author Posted July 1, 2011 Sehwag couldn't last an over on these pitches. Against Rampaul and Sammy. :hysterical::hysterical:
Cricketics Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Sehwag couldn't last an over on these pitches. Thank you. Go eat some chintoo candy and get yourself some champak comics because you don't know anythin about cricket.
Sidhoni Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Sehwag couldn't last an over on these pitches. :haha::haha:

The Realist Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Sehwag is crucial for the Eng tour. The current openers look so scared and just aim to survive. When they inevitably get out there are hardly any runs on the board.
Tigerbait Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Sehwag couldn't last an over on these pitches. You couldn't be more wrong. Sehwag would have creamed these guys. He will give you a chance early on but if that doesn't materialize, Sehwag will make mince meat out of you. Ask pretty much any bowling attack on any surface.

saket123 Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Reminds me of the padosi talks about how Umar Gul would whitewash over Sehwag in the world cup!.. we all know how that went.

Tigerbait Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Reminds me of the padosi talks about how Umar Gul would whitewash over Sehwag in the world cup!.. we all know how that went. He's one of those players that never gets pissed off and yet produces sheer carnage. A true match winner on any pitch. This thread is pretty pathetic.
Fontaine Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Anybody who thinks Sehwag would have played his shots and hammered Rampaul and co needs to stop watching test match cricket. This pitch has very good pace and bounce even on the 4th day with the ball constantly moving just enough. And don't dismiss Rampaul/Edwards etc. They've bowled very very well. Apart from Edwards bowling a few loose overs they've been excellent.
vvvslaxman Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 It is one thing to get bamboozled by Steyn. But Rampaul and Sammy ? Are these youngster so bad ? Rampaul bamboozled 5 Indian players in world cup  Give some credit.
jaggadaku Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Sehwag couldn't last an over on these pitches. Nature of pitch hardly matters for Viru
achilles Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 It is one thing to get bamboozled by Steyn. But Rampaul and Sammy ? Are these youngster so bad ? Ssh. They have the highest averages in Domestic cricket. No one says a word. /rant
Sir_Afridi Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Nature of pitch hardly matters for Viru It does in places like NZ,SA & Eng which is why Sehwag has poor record there.

Ultimate_Game Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 You are preaching to the choir. We already know how important Sehwag is to the Indian team and that's why we want him fully fit at the earliest. In fact most of the folks round the world consider Sehwag one of the best openers. It's only the padosis who club Viru along with the likes of Nazir, Afridi and other sloggers. Rest of the world already know his value to the Indian team. But you have to admit that these pitches (Test ones) haven't been easy to bat on and it's unfair for the youngsters to be judged on these performances where 250 seems to be a pretty decent total.
