punjabi_khota Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 ^True man, England has been the much better team. Sure injuries hurt India, but thats no excuse for failing so badly.
Rahul Dravid Posted August 11, 2011 Author Posted August 11, 2011 Common man give credit to England. You have players like Sachin, Dravid, and Laxman in the middle order, yet you weren't able to cross 300. Also add Yuvraj and Raina, who apparently would make it to the batting line up of any other country. Even Pakistan won 1 test match in England last year without Yousuf and Younis, and we didn't have luxury of having players like Laxman, Dravid and Sachin, we had Umar Amin and Azhar Ali in the middle order making their debut. England missing their 2 starters in this test in Tremlett and Trott, yet they are in commanding position because of their bench strength. India should have done much better, it seems like the team as a whole gave up because of injuries and the only guy that fought was Dravid. its not that im not giving England credit, they have been great... it all comes down to scheduling of cricket.. our players look lazy, tired.. while the English look soo ready. thats been the main difference.

It's our board's fault and can't use it as an excuse. Eng did what they had to and beat whoever was put in front of them.

England also just played a series against Sri Lanka. 3 Tests and 5 ODI's. Before that they had world cup just like everyone. And from what I remember India didn't play full strength side against WI so I don't know how main players are not ready to defend their # 1 ranking. England are just too good right now. A team that has someone like Tim Bresnan who can come off the bench and pick up 5 wkts and score 90 runs is always going to be tough to beat.

Apart from the dismal condition of Indian batting and bowling, England has been way too good for this team. Their bowling has been outstanding and they have ability to do well even if their 3 bowlers go out. Anderson Tremlett Broad Bresnan Finn Swann They can pick any 3 bowlers from these 6 and they can do well for them in England. Their batting abilities isn't giving any reprieve to Indian bowlers either.

Trichromatic Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Well if we do the same with your bowling then you shouldnt win a test either Zaheer (good) Ishant (average) Kumar (joke) Harbhajan (joke) Anderson (good) Tremlett (good) Swann (good) Broad (average/joke) You cant even defend Habhajan, he has been outbowled by a rookie like Bishoo by absolute miles he couldnt buy a wicket on a huge turner in Jamaica, and no offence to Kumar but anyone that bowls 75 mph is a joke and needs to get down the gym. :cantstop:
