asterix Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 That's a phaking strong team.. Bachche (England) Ki Jaan Loge Kya, Selectors?
aseemraina Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 I have my doubts about Yuvi :hmmm: He won't be getting any chances...Unless Raina flops...
ShebbySB Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 This is the best possible team chosen by the selectors except the Saha selection.DK would've been a better option.
saneindian Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 Perhaps the selectors woke up from their dream and realized Parthiv is still a goalkeeper. Even goalkeepers deserve a fair number of chances if picked, no?
Pagalpanti Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 While Badrinath cant fit into this squad by any means, gotta feel for him. He is dropped without even getting a chance.
Sachin=GOD Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 While Badrinath cant fit into this squad by any means' date=' gotta feel for him. He is dropped without even getting a chance.[/quote'] when guys like Kohli and Pujara don't get selected how can Badrinath even be considered?
virufan Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 Viru the destroyer is back but I am sad he will miss 1st test. Dhoni rocks as he has a midas touch!! Sachin the great is in the scheme of things again. Do not talk of retirement of Dravid and Laxman ever again. Gauti the consistent is back. He is too good. Zaheer bhai is back and he can be lethal along with Ishant. Praveen Kumar can be a good swing bowler in England conditions though he is not fast. We do not need alrounders. Harbhajan is there. Mukund has talent and I am happy he was selected over Vijay. The vibrant Sreesanth is back. Good team- only surprise was Saha over Parthiv but I am convinced that we need reserve keepers and not reserve openers and Saha is best in the business.
virufan Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 when guys like Kohli and Pujara don't get selected how can Badrinath even be considered? FYI Pujara is still not recovered from injury:((
Ultimate_Game Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 They should have gone with Karthik insteaf of Saha as the backup wk as Karthik could also double up as an emergency opener and is a better bat than Saha. Feel for Pujara as his injury happened at wrong time for him. He was trying to break into the Indian team and is pushed back once again owing to injury. Another key decision would be who gets to bat at 6 - Raina or Yuvi? Raina has performed wonderfully in WI and Yuvi was the man who was instrumental in us winning the world cup. That would be a tough call for Dhoni and team management.
rkt.india Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 Even goalkeepers deserve a fair number of chances if picked' date=' no?[/quote'] Goal keepers only play in football, not in cricket who a chance should be given to a goal keeper in cricket..
BeautifulGame Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 Karthick's domestic form doesnt merit a call up IMO.He really struggled for form this season IIRC
