Well I hope the quality is good on the Bose series...making a combo of good surround speakers with a high current amp is also a good idea. I personally prefer Klipsch, Energy or JBL for speakers & Onkyo, Harman Kardon or Denon as Receivers. that Klipsch 5.1 speakers which you bought is a good deal :two_thumbs_up: I should take some time out & check the sorround effects and then decide which one to go for.... thanks for the suggestion :icflove:
The quality is excellent on this system. I have spent a decent amount time listening to music & other audios on this one about two years ago.

I use Asus HD 2 with built in HDD 2TB ( for Blue Ray rips) + External 2TB ( Regular + Hindi ) + 1TB ( Recorded off Satelllite HD in .ts format ) HD is crisp - and plays of PC with no issues. I am watching more movies coz of the player else they were simply on the HDD sitting dormant Very convenient Didn't have time so far but I can put other softwares like playon which have built-in jukeboxes so it scans the memory and I can click info to read the .nfo file for the movie and associated IMDB link
Asus just released O!Play Media Share for Android https://market.android.com/details?id=com.bianor.oms&hl=en It acts like DLNA so direct media from phone to TV via Media Player

So I finally set my my 40" Samsung Led ( UN40D6050 ), stunning difference between an LCD and LED. So the 1st movie which came up was Lord of the Rings in HD and while it was sharp as hell, it seemed like a camera print ( in HD though ), I was like is this 1080p for Lord of the Rings? or maybe its one of those extra scenes or something. I switched to another one like "Just go with it" by Adam Sandler, some classic movie, all in HD and all they seemed like I am watching a TV show, it wasn't a movie effect. So I played around with the menus and there are 100 settings and searched the e-manual, no keyword for TV show like picture So I started googling and from TV like effect >> to drama effect - finally I got it. It's called "Soap Opera Effect" - http://www.hometheaterforum.com/t/291611/the-soap-opera-effect-on-modern-displays - fkrr ..I dug deep, and found that there is a setting called "Auto Motion Plus" which seemed to be the culprit and that fixed it but I read further and some guys isaid ts great on sports especially if it's HD and boy I turned it on for Cricket. It's a totally new experience, it removed the glaring and the feed looks raw and you almost feel you are there next to the player. It would be better if it was HD telecast and the SA/AUS feed on Willow was just vow, not so much on Neo **Extras** - My Captivate can work as a remote for the TV**

I use Logitech Harmony remote so that keyboard remote wouldn't have helped + this was a great deal at costco. In addition, I have read that its not easy to use that lil remote and users are pushing for some type of bluetooth keyboard I setup PIP so watching movie and cricket on side is divine

Many have their laptops connected to TVs via HDMI .... you also get stuff like Apple TV and other such devices (many even use the Mac Mini) .... so how useful is the internet TV in that respect when you could do a lot more by connecting a laptop/Mac Mini to your tv? What's the improvement in terms of user experience besides having the convienence of having internet on the tv and do you still feel like connecting your laptop/such devices despite internet on the tv to view programs

I have Media Player and its the most used device, with the PC to TV I have to play the movie, adjust aspect ratio etc. I haven't ventured much on the apps till now, but its more comfortable watching online vids directly on it. other than that, allshare is a great feature where u can play mobile stuff on TV directly, any captured vids etc I have yet to venture everything, didn't have time since the setup of my room has taken almost a week
