He went out and celebrated with Graeme Smith and co when South Africa won their last series in England. I was there at Edgbaston :--D

Just because we're a third world country and no one wants to play for us doesn't mean we have to put down others.

Money talks my friend and nowhere does it talk louder in cricket playing countries than India. If India's objective was to rope in players from other teams they could very well do that with folks like Gayle, Symonds and bunch of Aussies and Saffers willing to play. In cricketing terms India is the a world country with likes of Eng, Aus following behind and rest nowhere close.

Rahul Dravid Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Strauss moved over when he was 6, i'm not sure whether both his parents are Saffers or whether just one is but i have absolutely no problem with him representing England. Same with Prior who moved over at 11 and has 1 English parent. KP has an English mother so in my opinion he is entitled to play for England IMO. However, i can see why people can object as he only moved to England because he was unhappy with the set-up in South African cricket. Geraint Jones - Lived in Australia until 22 (born in Papa New Guinea). However he does have Welsh parents so he is eligible to play for England. Jade Dernbach - Moved over when he was 14, has no English blood in him. However, he did not really play cricket in South Africa and he came through the English system. Eoin Morgan - Really talented player but he has nothing to do with England. The selection of the last 3 players has really put me off supporting England in the last few years. Trott and Morgan are superb players but should not represent England. WOWWW... U NEED A LIFE !

Its not that surprising I guess' date=' but on the face of it youd expect players playing for England to have grown up supporting them. Im trying to Imagine Nasser Hussain supporting India as a lad, his dad used to play for Tamil Nadu. [b']A good point Patel raises is that when playing sport nationalism is not that big a deal, youd take the chance to play Intl cricket and the money that comes with it whoever it is youre playing for. Im not sure how big a deal 'pride at representing your country' is.
