Explain why it was "pretty good". Was it because it would appeal to dumb 30 yr old blondes like you?
Totally. There was no reason for Gunner to start this conversation. Btw, the media is going viral with the news. It was in the headlines of the hour of most news channels.
The only one who "caught" feelings for that ad was you. I just find you an annoying, reprehensible *****. Now please don't bother responding and **** off.

The ad should not have shown Bhajji sitting in a ball bearing workshop. Bhajji's dad used to run a similar business and is no longer alive. Why make fun of that part of someone's personal life? I am all for spoofs on Bhajji's behaviour on the field or the various issues he has had related to his cricket but reference to his dead father was in a poor taste. I hope UB withdraws the ad.

Hope age teaches you there is a world beyond "You" and like I have instructed you in the past, don't reply to show your importance, when I wouldn't really care if you had an orgasm about what I said or ended smashing the computer. FYI, you are a waste and can't do one thing right. I asked you to explain me why you found it "pretty good", you couldn't even do that. That ad mocks his family, you moron.

Yeah, we read an interview few days ago in which Bhajji said about his dad's death and effects of that. Maybe some parts of ad hurt him.

Ok, I didnt know about that part, and I am sure Dhoni woulodnt have known either while shooting his part Having said that, I can see tha t(seeing the reactions on this thread) there is no scope for creatiive works like South Park in India which is a tad sad
Posted
^indian ads are way more creative then US ads.
Hmm, but do we have the scope/guts/liberty to make a serial like south park which makes a mockery of all religions, persons, celebrities dead or alive?

^ Look at the Fevicol ads. Look at the Tata Safari ads. That is brilliance. An ad resorting to cheap stunts like this one shows lack of confidence and creativity. If a Creative Head is good, he doesn't need to pull off a campaign smearing and mocking someone.

Bhajji himself brought his personal life in his own Ad. No one but only Bhajji to be blamed to use his personaly life to sell Ads. He cannot go on telling, "My Dad is no more etc." and then using his and his Dad's personal life to make Ads.. If he's so hurt them he should put a disclaimer in his Ads to not make any spoofs on these Ads as it has elements of his personal life, his Dad is no more etc.

So if you discuss your personal life with a friend and he mocks you in a way that seriously offends you, you would say its all your own fault? :hysterical:

Harbhajan Singh sues Vijay Mallya over Dhoni ad

New Delhi: An ad spoof has resulted in ace-spinner Harbhajan Singh sending a notice to the Vijay Mallya-owned UB Spirits for a commercial that the bowler's lawyers say seems to show India skipper MS Dhoni "mocking" him. The two players endorse rival companies. The Bhajji ad for Royal Stag has the tag-line "Have I made it large?" The Dhoni ad for the Mallya-owned McDowell's has a Bhajji look-alike ask, "'Have I made it large?" and Dhoni says, "Forget large, do something different." In the Dhoni commercial, the Harbhajan look-alike works in a factory and gets slapped by his father. Harbhajan's lawyers, in their legal notice, have said that the commercial mocks the off-spinner, his family and the Sikh community. Advocate Shyam Dewani, one of his lawyers, speaking to NDTV, said more than the cricketer, his family was upset. The notice also demands that the company publicly apologise to Harbhajan's family "through widely-read newspapers as well as television channels prominently" apart from removing the advertisement within three days of receiving the notice. The lawyer, however, rubbished speculation that this would affect the relationship of the two ace cricketers. Dhoni and Harbhajan are known to be close.

Spinner Harbhajan Singh's legal team has served a legal notice on Vijay Mallya's UB Spirits over a commercial for McDowell's No. 1 Platinum featuring Dhoni. The commercial shows Dhoni making fun of Harbhajan's role in a commercial for rival Pernod Ricard's Royal Stag. McDowell's No. 1 Platinum and Royal Stag are competing whiskey brands, coming in the same price band. The notice says that such commericals cause disunity and friction within the Indian team. For the first time, an Indian cricketer is mocking a team-mate in a TV commercial for a liquor brand. The ad goes like this... As a young boy, ace spinner Harbhajan Singh had the choice of churning out ball-bearings from his father’s workshop, but he chose to pursue his dreams and made it large in the cricketing world — that’s how Royal Stag puts it. Touching, but McDowell’s is not happy. And so a spoof shows a teenaged Bhajji-lookalike accidentally creating humongous iron balls in a tryst to ‘make it large’ at the ball-bearings workshop! Even as the Bhajji-lookalike gets thrashed by his father, MS Dhoni comes, switches off the TV and says that it’s not about making large, but different. Harbhajan's lawyers have demanded an unconditional apology along with the advertisenments being withdrawn immediately.

Kakkar & co. shouldn't have mocked his sentiments in this manner. Not to mention what tension it might cause in the Team India camp.... Personally, I find such advertising cheap.

Nothing funny about this ad. Just a cheap spoof which is not even smartly done. I cant believe Dhoni agreed to do this. He probably was not aware of the concept behind this ad.
