The MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground) is a colossal 100, 000+ capacity stadium in Melbourne, Australia. I have the good fortune of going backstage -- commentary/press boxes, corporate V.I.P lounges, players changerooms etc -- and just wanted to share the pictures. This a mind bending piece of architecture. Watch this space if you want to see what happens backstage. MCG.jpg

The MCG is nothing short of an engineering marvel. I've watched a fair few matches here and believe me, this is as grand on the inside as it is on the outside. Can't wait to go backstage and see the nuts and bolts of how this place runs. 8408263.jpg

Sree why you always orgasming over Aussie cricket grounds? :hmmm:
You're right, can you give me one of your tickets to Lords? You got a fair few lying around. Kidding. I have a chance to go backstage. Might as well, its a nice ground.

BCV_fn5bGfQ Did you actually walk through all this distance?
Its a monster ground and the backstage pass goes for 1 - 1.5 hours. For a 3 story, 100, 000+ capacity stadium, it seems about right. Will let you know more of the details as soon as I do it in a few days. Pictures to come soon so please pipe down and show some patience. I can hardly wait either :yay:

Sree, I saw this Zimbabwe-Australia game in 2004 at MCG. It was rained out after Aus batted full 50 overs. The place where I was sitting, Ian Harvey's six came right there and I actually got the ball in my hand and threw it away to the fielder Sean Ervine.
