Even if all the Indians in the UK stage a dharna outside Trent Bridge demanding that Bhajji not be picked, it will not make the slighest difference. Bhajji is firmly entrenched in this Indian side, almost like "till death do us part". I remember even Kumble getting dropped a couple of times from the side but Bhajji? Never! Inspite of being pissed off with his showing at Lord's, I would like him to play at Trent Bridge. Let it not be said that he was dropped unfairly. After all, he did bowl his heart out on an unresponsive pitch and got the rough end of several decisions and dropped chances. He is a fighter and hopefully he will show some of that fight, with the ball, in Trent Bridge.

Dartbhajan needs to be dropped, but his place in the team has become as secure as f***ing Fort Knox. No matter how pathetic his form is, his body language his, his batting is, and just his presence on the field is, Darty will keep getting a reprieve, do lameass commercials, slap lawsuits against liquor barons, (well, at least he's acing at something), and bask in the glory of the fact that no one can touch him. Just look at the way he bowls: shoulders slumped, champion pub dart thrower, scowl plastered on his face, and, not to mention- drunken batting. He's been the major nail in our coffin, apart from IPL. That tourney will definitely become the undoing of our Test status in time to come. Just watch.

I totally Agree...... This huge favour to Harbhajan is eating away the Career of Amit Mishra and also Ashwin... not to mention Rahul Sharma... I feel BHajji is good enough to hold his position only in ONE days and T 20's he is definitely not the best spinner for India as far as a Test is concerned..OJHA and MISHra are definitely good and i would also say the other legspinner who was in the world cup team is also a test material... one needs a test spinner to be a attacking wicket taking bowler and i feel mishra ojha and this leg spinner r one's who try to take wicekts , even the other left arm spinner( now a commentator some times) who was in KKR team was always a better spinner than BHAJJI but his career has been marred( i m missing the name).. why such a favour to BHAJI..???.....

I feel that Bhajji is bowling bit fast. He needs to completely take out pace off his bowling. I don't know if any Ex-spinner could advice him or not. I know little bit of Off-Spin and I feel that if he delivers the ball bit slow, he could be more successful in taking wickets and also preventing batsment to score freely. At present the batsmen use the pace in his ball to easily score runs. I want him to slow down and make the batsmen to put some efforts in scoring runs. I'm amazed that being an experienced bowler, he is not trying to go the extra mile to bring more variations in his bowling..

He has to also bowl outside off stump rather than pushing the ball into middle and leg. His line improved a bit in the second innings but he wasn't consistent.

That's because he tends to GRIP the ball hard..By gripping hard, he ends up dragging the ball short and wide.. He has to work on gripping the ball differently. You can impart variation by just using various grips. Having seen Bhajji for long now, I can safely say that he uses same grip most of the time, before he goes for his 'Albatross take off" run up.. Watch Swann's different bowling grips for different variations. His straighter balls has lose grip..Batsman ssee the same grip but don't realise that the grip is lose and hence the spin imparted will not be the same..

If he varies his line/length/flight or bowls the doosra sometimes or gets one to hold its line or pushes one through, he may just surprise the batsman. Right now, there's no surprise at all. The guy is an asset. One of the most senior bowler currently playing International cricket..He could become of the deadliest off spinner in his time now. He can do it. But he'll not. And that frustrates many of us..

Honestly, I think he should be given ball at Trent Bridge. Its not a matter of whether? Its matter of when? All this drop Harbhajan nonsense is helping no one. Dhoni should go to him and tell him very clearly. Dont rely on speculations from media and experts. You are our number one spinner. Just be natural man. No point in trying too hard. You will get wickets. Despite all his experience, After all he is human and a tap on back and some words of encouragement will definitely help him
