urbestfriend Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 If Zak was there, this would have been lot closer...Pretty unlucky to miss out..
King Tendulkar Posted July 25, 2011 Author Posted July 25, 2011  Doesn't change the fact that we didn't bat well. Well england were not batting well either in both innings. They just recovered both times when we did not have 4th bowler. I mean the lauding of Priors knock is a joke. he scored most of his runs agansit Dhoni and Raina and hardly faced Ishant as had to be rested due to have bowl 65 overs in a row. If we went in to any game with a 3 man bowling attack and 10 men over last 5 years, we would have lost majority of games and be ranked 7th in world. We should not over react
CrazyCric Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Yeah we would have bowled you out for under 250 form there. And in 2nd innings if ZK was there he would have killed of work Ishant done to bowl you out for 140! The ZK sending off(equivalent to ZK injury) was a game changer. The doom and gloom is pathetic, we were seriously handicapped All If's LOL . Whats your excuses for getting out for 286 & 261? Where does ZK fit in it? SO that means India bowling attack depends on one bowler ?

The doom and gloom is pathetic, we were seriously handicapped KT I think anyone not acknowledging it was a game changer is being overly negative. But what you have to acknowledge is sport is centred on fitness. It seems very rare you see the English seamers break down at any part of a Test match - if we are going to send Zaheer in undercooked and/or overweight then that is our prerogative and we have to deal with the risks. I think we will all acknowledge that preparation is key for a four Test slog and they have outdone us in most aspects. Doesn't mean all is lost though.
Deleted_User_1 Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 We got beat by a better team. We had no preparation coming into this test. Let's hope India can turn it around. Be gracious in defeat. Right now, England is the superior team until India proves it otherwise. The onus is on India.
Sid Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Batting effort today was pretty disappointing, especiallly Sachin's approach ,he went into his shell ,Dhoni needs to start scoring and add to that couple of loose shots of Dravid and Laxman. But yes batsmen playing at wrong batting positions also didnt help :P
wobblydoggy Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Post of the day :hysterical: I agree, he is seriously in denial. It is very amusing and makes the win better for me. He should be talking about why his hero failed twice or batted at all if he was ill

This. You can give all kinds of excuses. But give credit where it's due.

Footballers are top athletes. They are always pulling hammies in middle of matches, why is that poor preperation on their part? ZK jsut got injured cos he got injured. Over analysing of a pulled hamstring

He should be talking about why his hero failed twice or batted at all if he was ill No need to abuse Sachin in this. He failed in this test (illness did not help) but he will be back. Problem is with our bowling. We need to be able to take 20 wickets in a match. Besides Ishant's spell on the 4th morning, we never looked threatening. Regardless, SRT is the best batsman of the modern era and you cannot deny that!
zen Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 You got stuffed even with the umpires playing for you Accept it Pakiness is shining more than the Britishness (or whatever it's called) :P

King Tendulkar Posted July 25, 2011 Author Posted July 25, 2011 I will give credit to England if they beat us when we have 11 men. Am sorry but 10 men and only 3 bowlers means we were unlucky. If they beat us as trent bridge, then fair dos. Until then nothing has been proved
