Lords test 2011 : Predictions and discussion

Recommended Posts

Being prone to injuries comes from playing too much cricket, and the IPL just adds to the workload. But its time we accept it and that means the board building tours and scheduling round it taking the IPL into account. Do they? Do they ****. Greedy frakkers shoehorn as much cricket as possible into our players lives. In an ideal world - Viru would have had surgery just after the WC skipping the IPL so as to be fit for Eng. IDEALLLYY Zak and the injured GG would have sat out but thats asking too much. - The tour of WI would not have happened, or at least been a test match series only - There would have been two tour matches prior to the first test in Eng, and it would have been a 3 test, not 4 test series. THAT (and a shorter WI tour) would have given us a longer break between WI and Eng and better prep for Eng, a fitter (and match fit) Zak and Sehwag. - The totally random, pointless 5 match ODI series in Oct (?)when Eng tour India would not exist -WI tour of India too would be earlier as a result giving us more time for practice matches and maybe even a camp prior to Aus tour in Dec. As it stands I imagine we are heading for Aus 2 days after the last test vs WI in India ends...

^ yeah, its not players fault. No player would miss a chance to earn 2 million$ in two months. Its Bcci fault and i think their greed will be the main reason for downfall of IPL and INDIAN CRICKET.Holding IPL just five days after worldcup shows that Bcci dont give damn to fitness of players. All they care about is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

This is another example of utter non-professionalism practice of Indian team. They knew Zak's fitness is doubtful. He did not bowl even in warm up game second innings and still they played him. He does not look fit at all. He has gained a lot of weight as well and this is going for a long time now in Indian cricket. They half fit players and then get embarrassed. A team cannot compete with only 3 bowlers. Icing on the cake is, Zak has not even played cricket for a long time and was having a break to work on fitness and still got injured while first sessions were not even bowled.

And there are 15 staff members for the team like yoga trainer, tactitian, dietician, fitness trainer, advisor, manager etc.... all those could not help prevent an injury........

No rain please! I've full confidence in indian batting to save the test incase our bowlers fail. Even if we lose' date=' we have 3 more matches, which should be good enough for No.1 team to make a strong comeback[/quote'] It might rain later in the afternoon but the weather is fine this morning. The sun is actually out!
