ravsdh Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 and the time has definitely come because of Dartbhajans 3 year crap form (and for all of you who quote his series in SA and NZ, i will simply quote back his increasing lack of effectiveness in India itself): Harby out, Sree in ZK out, Munna bhai in Mukund out, Yuvraj in. RSD to open. OR, if we were to be ultra defensive, play 7 batsmen, and 3 seamers, and get Yuvraj and Raina to bowl lots of overs. I have no problem drawing at TB, but lose here and there's no point us looking forward to VS and ZK coming back for Edgbaston because the series is dead, no way are we winning 2 in 2 after losing the first 2. My xi: Gauti RSD VVS God Yuvraj Raina MSD Sree Ishant Praveen Munaf Being from Nottingham, I can assure you TB will do nothing for the spinners, unless the track is massively underprepared, which I dont think it is.
Laaloo Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Dravid to open: no thank you I'd rather stick with Mukund If ZAK is not 100% fit, then play Sree My team: Mukund Gauti Dravid Sach Lax Raina Dhoni Yuvraj as a spinner PK Ishant Sree
ravsdh Posted July 26, 2011 Author Posted July 26, 2011 zak ISNT fit, no doubt about it. MSD wont risk him at all. the way i see it, yuvraj has more chance of getting more runs at number 5/6/7 then mukund does at the top, so the net gain to india in terms of runs would be greater if yuvraj played than mukund Dravid to open: no thank you I'd rather stick with Mukund If ZAK is not 100% fit, then play Sree My team: Mukund Gauti Dravid Sach Lax Raina Dhoni Yuvraj as a spinner PK Ishant Sree
NareshK Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Dravid shouldnt open. VVS almost destroyed his career batting at 3. He is a middle order batsman. I have no confidence in Yuvraj as a batsman in English conditions in tests. But as ridiculous as it may sound, I think he will bowl better than Bhajji. So it will be great if they get him in for Bhajji but its unlikely. Sree in for Zaheer.
Dravid Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 VVS almost destroyed his career batting at 3. He is a middle order batsman. what? avg. of 47
ShebbySB Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 My XI:- 1)Gauti,2)Wall,3)God,4)Lax,5)Raina,6)Yuvi,7)MSD,8)Bhajj,9)PK,10)Sree,11)Ishant.

deepak_sach Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 If you are from Nottingham why are you not supporting England:winky: He is an Indian living in England .
wobblydoggy Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 He is an Indian living in England . Ah! My doctors Indian, he supports India and his sons support England:--D
Jersey #10 Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 I don't think Dravid would ever agree to play as an opener unless of course the conditions provided like the 1st test. We need Dravid in the middle order more than anything anyway.
Fontaine Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 There is no way I would play Bhajji in. I would drop him right now. The question is for who? Yuvi who can bowl part time spin or Munaf/Sree. It's not going to happen though. Management is going to stick with Bhajji who'll continue to be an embaressment.

That isnt going to happen in this series atleast. And looking at how Dhoni is defending Harbhajan with different excuses in his various press confrences ,I wont be surprised if Harby carries on playing even after this series. I am just hoping some miracle happens and he comes in form .

If we have to even the series, we need to win next match and bowlers win matches , not batsman. No point in bringing in Yuvi at 1 if you still playing 4 bowlers.

Have you seen how much weight he has gained since WC? he is just short of being called obese and he can hardly bend down. I am bit skeptical about his presence in the team now. All of them have to go back and work on their fitness first.
ravsdh Posted July 26, 2011 Author Posted July 26, 2011 He is an Indian living in England . 10 points, i was on bloody radio today defending british asians supporting india and not england- there seem to be a lot of indian england fans these days, cant say im delighted by it :D
ravsdh Posted July 26, 2011 Author Posted July 26, 2011 what is situation with Zak? zak isnt playing, MSDs statements in the media pretty much rule him out

We need Dravid in the middle order more than anything anyway. dravid has in the past and he would again. he wouldnt refuse anything, its dravid ffs.
