The worst 400+ wicket club bowler?

Intent of your post was obviously to say that Bhajji is taking way longer than others to reach to these milestones' date=' which is obviously false.[/quote'] Not at all. My intent was that Harbhajan will play as long as he wants, regardless of performance etc etc..and even if he plays another 25 years that should be fine. Your idea of my intent was way off :winky:

Of course I agree with that. And I agree he is worst (so far) among all 400+ wicket takers. My only point is that the arbitrary "deserving" or "undeserving" of 400 club is just that, arbitrary.

Harbhajan has the worst average and S/R in the 400+ club so he is definitely the worst.
If Miandad and Yousuf can average 50+ , then what is wrong with Harbhajan.:dance:

Harbhajan is a decent bowler, not a great one. As the stats show, his 400 wickets have come at almost 32 apiece which is very expensive. He was never able to perform at the peak he experienced early in his career 10 years ago. In my personal opinion, he should have been dropped from the team much earlier. Anyway, he's got 400 now. Kudos to him, but unlike others in the 400-wicket club who are all-time greats, Bhajji is just a decent bowler.

Which is what this thread was about. As the Brits would say , Init?

Thats very much relative and philosphical. Does he deserve 400 wickets for all his hard work? Sure. Does he deserve 400 wickets ahead of greats like Botham, Lillee or back home Bedi and Chandra? Probably not. So not sure how you can judge deserving and non-deserving thingy xxx

This thread is very vicious after an Indian achieves such a great landmark.
It's vicious indeed, but it was bound to appear imo. There is no hiding from his stats and slump in form.

Does being the worst of a great bunch make him bad?
No, it doesn't. He has been a very good bowler overall and a decent one over the past 3 years or so with periods of utter mediocrity.

Forgot the "worst 300 plus wickets club" thread and your own counter thread "worst batsman among 10000 plus runs club" brah? :winky: The kind of criticizm Harbhajan has been facing on this board, it was only a matter of time before such a thread popped up..I thought yesterday was the most appropriate day. What more he reached his career's biggest milestone on his best friend's birthday, it was all pre-planned :--D
