Raghav_12 Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Would Dinesh Karthik have done any worse than Dhoni? I bet he would have scored more atleast. Yes, apart from captainship Karthick would have been better deal in terms of Batting WK. In last tour he had done a very good job in role of opener (Scored 263 @ 44)
Karan114 Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Yes' date= apart from captainship Karthick would have been better deal in terms of Batting WK. In last tour he had done a very good job in role of opener (Scored 263 @ 44) Really? The guy averages 21 when playing as wicket keeper, and his keeping is even worse than Dhoni's. Yes, he did well batting on the last tour, but his record as a batsman when playing as keeper is absolutely pathetic.
Sid Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Thread taking a decisive turn by Sach coming into the picture  :hysterical:
Yoda-esque Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Thank God you guys aren't selectors . Otherwise we would be no better off than the PCB. No faith whatsoever in the team. S-A-D

He was one of the major contributor towards India's series win. In any case I would rate Karthick a better test batsman than Dhoni if we are playing outside sub-continent.
Guest Gunner Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Tendulkar should be ashamed first and foremost. India as a team should be ashamed too. I leave with score at 260/4 and come back to see 288 ao? What the feck. Seems like we intend to make Broad become the next Gary Sobers. Correct. He handed the advantage to England more than anyone else.

OK if you took DK's performance recalling last English tour, then why not do the same with Dhoni as well ,he also scored runs on the last tour :cantstop:
zen Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 the good thing abt tests is that it allows you to come back so lets see
Raghav_12 Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Oh yeah sure. Considering this is a battle for Number 1, and we are two batsmen short already..lets give the midget some more rope as has always been the case :hysterical: While we are on it lets castigate Dhoni, Praveen Kumar, Ishant etc who combined have played less test cricket than the midget... But hey as always keep clutching to that murthi of his in your puja-ghar. :hehe: 3 innings is all it took for the Tendulkar haters to come out of the wood work. Yes, people are already complaining that he is being given too long a rope :cantstop:. Easy to forget that in test match just before these three innings, he had scored iconic 146. Isn't it?
Raghav_12 Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 OK if you took DK's performance recalling last English tour' date='then why not do the same with Dhoni as well ,he also scored runs on the last tour :cantstop:[/quote'] He did surely and saved Lord's test match for India as well. But still I feel as a batsman Karthick's contribution was greater as he provided some solidity right at the top.
NareshK Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Isnt this thread supposed to be about Dhoni ? Anyway, I have never seen Sachin fail four innings in a row. So a big one is due from the little man.

darkknight Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 He is a useless HTB. And why is that. oh, sorry i got you. He took Ind to no1, got us tonty-tonty cup, a world cup. Yeah, he should be ashamed and quit the job.
Misu243 Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Dhoni is the culprit for todays collapse. That was the worst shot I've seen in my life given the pitch conditions. I'm very sorry for Rahul Dravid...his 5 hours of batting undone by one stupid shot triggering a collapse. Stupid Dhoni and stupid BCCI stop complaining about the lbw decision...

How many times in the past you were proven wrong yet you comes up with silly comments like "midget should be dropped", "long rope being given to midget" etc..:giggle: Now come up with your target for him in this series and let's see he lives up to "baap of all cricket experts" expectation :yay:
SachDan Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 so lets see which admin has the balls to abide by this fatwa : http://indiancricketfans.com/showthread.php?t=268959 unless ofcourse calling the greatest player a midget is a lesser offense than "perversion of a players name" :giggle: FYI our greatest player is not a midget..:--D
