yoda Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 thought this thread was about his captaincy. why is it getting bumped every time he swings his bat for a 50 in another lost cause?
gult Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Because after the demoralizing 2nd test loss and bell controversy, he's the only Indian batsman who has delivered in the 3rd test, and that too being the captain of a side that is playing awful cricket
yoda Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Because after the demoralizing 2nd test loss and bell controversy' date=' he's the only Indian batsman who has delivered in the 3rd test, and that too being the captain of a side that is playing awful cricket[/quote'] we are still losing by massive innings and 200+ runs, so as a captain he has failed, even if he personally scores a 200* here.
gult Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 we are still losing by massive innings and 200+ runs' date=' so as a captain he has failed, even if he personally scores a 200* here.[/quote'] But he is not a gutless captain.. that's all I am trying to say.
yoda Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 But he is not a gutless captain.. that's all I am trying to say. That I agree, but c'mon a few 50s this test hardly changes the equation.
Bumper Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 That I agree' date=' but c'mon a few 50s this test hardly changes the equation.[/quote'] That is true. But there aren't too many meaningful innings played by Indian batsmen in this series. For all the pounding he got (FTB and what not), Dhoni's the 2nd highest run scorer for India in this series at the second best avg of 40 per innings. And his avg in England (in 6 tests including 2007) at this point reads 45.44 Not bad a wicket keeping allrounder. In spite of his technique or the lack of it, Dhoni has proven himself to be an effective batsman, yet again.
Pagalpanti Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 MS Dhoni has won the ICC Spirit of Cricket Award for withdrawing his appeal against Ian Bell at Trent Bridge #iccawards :yay:
Manny_Pacquiao Posted December 29, 2011 Author Posted December 29, 2011 you guys enjoying this?? captain COOLIE is spreading the field to a number 10 and 11. another award for the 'spirit of cricket' lined up. he and his homosexual partner dravid can share it.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted December 29, 2011 Author Posted December 29, 2011 i am so inspired by our magnificent captain. keeps a deep point for a tailender, suspecting a boundary being hit. keeps 2 slips huddled together, doesn't keep a stacked offside cordon even when his bowlers hit an off stump line. brings on the spinner without putting men around the bat, totally inspiring confidence. and best of all, WAITS for things to happen in hope. what a captain. fearless, brave, and proactive. dhoni, you can lead my team anyday, you son of a *****. maybe he has hired a squad of pakis to make dua for a clean bowled or an LBW, because there is no other way an indian bowler can get a wicket with these field settings. i am about to swoon here over captain coolie.
Sachinism Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Absolute BS captaincy Seriously this guy is the biggest waste of space in the test team
Manny_Pacquiao Posted December 29, 2011 Author Posted December 29, 2011 dhoni has them PLAYING RIGHT INTO THEIR HANDS. its all part of his GRAND plan. let the tailender score a 50, let the number 11 score his highest first clas score. have the target go up to 350....naah, better yet, 400. thats more like it. we have a great batting lineup right. i'm sure captain coolie will score 150 of those.he is a great batsman. just ask all his cocksuckers on this forum.
Rajiv Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Farked, I already hear timber for our Mahrathis
Manny_Pacquiao Posted December 29, 2011 Author Posted December 29, 2011 'THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE BLUEPRINT FOR HOW TO LOSE A TEST MATCH' - ian chappell. keep it up, dhoni. i am sure one of your followers will bump this thread when you score a 50 and post lots of smilies when you win THE SPIRIT OF CRICKET award.
ravishingravi Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Strange part is that for a guy as intelligent and street smart as Dhoni, he seems to have learnt very little tactically. Wonder what the coach is doing.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted December 29, 2011 Author Posted December 29, 2011 WOW!!!! DID YOU SEE THAT??! INDIA TOOK A WICKET. it went straight to second slip. see. GREAT CAPTAINCY. it only cost india another 50 runs, but hey....CAPTAIN COOLIE knows better.
