King Tendulkar Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 UK should send in army and beat the living daylights out of tnese scum. They need to send in indian police, they will deal with them. Laws in UK are so mucked up as police scared to use real force or they will get prosecutesd. Lets face it, these gangster youths just need to be pulviresed, legs boken, a few shot dead and others beating in to submission. O and as for liberal looonies. These are not people protesting , frustated with life. These are youngsters, many part of gangs, who think they are great, who think there gangster bad boy culture is brillinat, who think they are superior and cooler then normal people, who think this is great fun and great sport.
Sachinism Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 People trying to find out the cause or reasons for this juvenile behavior, don't waste your time. It's just an opportunity to loot and get free Nikes for these yoohts
ganeshran Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Are these pictures from London or Karachi ?? Why are people so angry?
Sooda Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 It's crazy Doc. Was listening to the BBC where Ken Livingstone was blabbering on about how it's the conservatives government's fault for not doing enough in providing job and whatever else. The idiot forgets to realise that these very kids would have grown up under labour's wonderful educational reforms where they would been used to getting weekly pay cheques for turning up to school. Great the see the billions his party spent on "education' date=' education, education" bearing fruit.[/quote'] All 'left wing liberals' are not singing from the same hymn sheet on this one. Diane Abbot is as lefty as they come (MP for Hackney I think??) and she was pretty emphatic in stating that this has nothing to do with cuts and all do to with thugs being thugs Noot sure about the papers though.

Diane Abbot is as lefty as they come and she was pretty emphatic in stating that this has nothing to do with cuts and all do to with thugs being thugs Noot sure about the papers though. Don't know which way Diane Abbot is swinging TBH. Last night when she was in Hackney during the riots she said something along the lines of "The policing; in relation to the black community in Hackney, has not improved over the years bringing about a lot of underlying tension". To the average audience, that would very much sound like she is sympathising with the rioters. Nonetheless, this isn't about painting all the liberals with the same brush. What I am annoyed with is seeing liberals like Ken Livingstone coming into the media and trying to score political points by blaming the current governments policies, when in reality it was very clear for us all to see that this was nothing but a bunch of criminals carrying out lootings as they know that the have a chance of getting away with it.
daryl1985 Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 I find this thread very interesting. I have always wondered who are the people who ask the Government to wage war against its own people (send in the army etc). That question has been answered now. It is always easy to accuse "bleeding heart liberals" for all the evils in a society however many of those fundamental "rights" that you enjoy today can also be attributed to the same "bleeding heart liberals". Therefore I fail to understand the hypocrisy which leads people who have benefited from the ideology of liberals to go on to slander them. The middle class population of every country who have a bit to lose are always the ones plugging for a police state, I have seen that both in India and the UK. Therefore it is no surprise to me that educated people on this forum are asking for ruthless suppression of certain sections of society instead of correcting imbalances which have led us to this pass. @ Punjabiplaya - "Open doors policy leading to anarchy", this is the most populist drivel ever spouted. If you read the red tops long enough you even begin speaking their language. Immigrants have contributed significantly to Britain as a nation. Today the British government has more entry barriers on educated professionals compared to any other developed nation in the world. Secondly, a large number of refugees do come from extremely dire circumstances and to write them off as "just another sob story" is pretty inhumane. Out of interest how do you think we should tackle these riots?
Guest Gunner Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Out of interest how do you think we should tackle these riots? Depends on what you mean by "tackling"? DO you just want to end it now or prevent it from happening again?
daryl1985 Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Depends on what you mean by "tackling"? DO you just want to end it now or prevent it from happening again? I want both to happen. But what would you suggest is the best way of ending the riots quickly?

O Mr. Che Guevara, weren't you the one advocating that Indians should rip up our constitution and go after the corrupt in India? How forked our tongue is when we have to talk about something closer home, hey? Call in the army and shoot the brigands, is it? You hypocrite!!
Guest Gunner Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 I want both to happen. But what would you suggest is the best way of ending the riots quickly? I am guessing you mean the current riots, in which case I would say a closure of the specific areas of North London and prevention of gathering of persons for atleast 2 straight days. Any crowd which tried to gather detain and disperse them. That should end the current spree. But this won't be enough in the long run. I know that it wasn't enough in France after the riots there in the early 2000s.

This isn't about waging a war, this is about bringing law and order back into society. Looking at last evenings events it is quite clear to see that the police do not have sufficient resources to deal with this menace, furthermore, they also lack sufficient powers to do anything that would deter these yobs from carrying out loots. By bringing in the army, the police will have much needed help in bringing this to an end. If there are further riots, I would not have any problems with the government empowering the police and army with using force against the rioters. As I said before, everyone values the benefits we enjoy in this country, but when these idiots go around setting property on fire and putting the average Joe's life in danger, I feel no sympathy for them if they were to get a smack across the face with a baton.
Sooda Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Arm the police with water cannons to being with. Next step rubber bullets.
Anonymous Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 I think the real culprit is the "Dole" culture in the UK. They have hiked Uni fees but benefits are handed out to unemployed, drug addicts etc etc..So they are essentially telling the next generation that its ok to be all that but dont dream of an education if you dont have the money. This is ridiculous. Most of these Yobs will make you rethink whether you are living in a first world country. They have never been made accountable for their actions. The police should give them a taste of rubber bullets and water cannons to start with. All this baton charging hardly scares these people.
Sachinism Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 6000 police out on the streets last night, looked like no way near enough. 16,000 will be out tonight. Without power of doing anything, much isn't going to change.
goose Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 if you're in London tonight get all your sh%t done by 4pm then stay indoors.

If there are further riots, I would not have any problems with the government empowering the police and army with using force against the rioters. I have no problems with the police imposing curfew and detaining people. However I cannot support brutal action like army, shooting people etc. That is not right whichever way you argue it. As I said before' date=' everyone values the benefits we enjoy in this country, but when these idiots go around setting property on fire and putting the average Joe's life in danger, I feel no sympathy for them if they were to get a smack across the face with a baton.[/quote'] If I didn't value the freedom and rights this democracy bestows upon us I would not be making a case against violent police action. A society which responds to violence with deadly force can't be termed developed and I do believe the UK has better values than that.
