Future of Indian test team

Well, #1 is history now..But just thinking about future of Indian test cricket sends a chill down my spine. Just thin about it. .Zak is 33 and he is almost finished. I dont think he can get fitter to play test matches. He might soon take retirement from test cricket and play ODI/T20 only. Sree is overrated and lacks stamina to play test cricket. He is 29 and don't get better. Bhajji has lost potency, he is just rolling over his arms..He might still regain his potency , but I dont think he has any motivation.. After-all he is earning millions in IPL.. Domestic bowlers who have performed are not international quality and there are very few who can bowl pace but they have failed to perform in domestic circuits. How can they take wickets at international stage when they struggle at domestic tournaments..There are no good spinners too..:(( As far as batting is concerned,Big 3's are going to retire in next 1-2 years..Especially when team starts losing, I dont think they have motivation to continue..Where are the replacements? Every youngster is inconsistent and doesn't instill much confidence..They can perform well in subcontinent pitches , but I have my doubts about performing in foreign pitches.. So I wouldn't be surprised if we drop to #5,6 within 1-2 years.

It's only a matter of time when they go back to the land of FTBs..Everything will be fine.. So' date=' no worries..[/quote'] You should be happy, you were pitching for England all along anyway :roti:

I have a guaranteed method for the future. In the past, other boards tried hard to emulate the competitiveness, aggression and professionalism of domestic Australian Cricket. Bringing over Australian coaches/experts and setting up the local domestic structure to mimic Australia's to try and keep up with their talent and success. . . Now the SAME has to be done with the current South Africa/England side. The BCCI should make eligible ANY ipl player for team India selection that plays for two seasons. That way the South African/Irish/Bangla, hell, even pakistani talent can come through and be "groomed" for Indian selection. Hell, the likes of KP/Morgan/Trott didn't sign up to domestic cricket in England because they were such British patriots, they went for the $$$$$. If only IPL would have been around 9/10 years ago, then it would be: Karan Petersingh Ohm Morgan Jonathan Trivedi
