It is about endurance, it is not easy to continue feeding all that muscle (i don't know how much he has, I am talking in general), on long days/tours, esp in demanding conditions - e.g. Australian, or sub-continent summer. Also, as you pointed out - joints are going to get hammered, over practice sessions, FC matches, ODIs, t20s, tests. That is where bench strength, 'listening' to body and well timed time-offs will come into picture.

I just can't wait for Bresnan to get a IPL contract after this performance and put in his place by the likes of Sunny Sohail,Valthaty,Jaddu,Abhishek Nayar,Tiwary etc etc.

To everyone who is dissing our team and condoning Bresnan, just recap to the numerous Indian tours that the English have been found wanting on. Our players didnt taunt them in front of the media. FFS, they have looked as listless as Bangladesh or Zim in many of the series, so Tim, have some ****in humility. There is no denying that we have looked like Amateurs but this is the same team that brough joy to a billion a few months ago. In sports, just like in life, if you can walk the walk then you've earned the right to talk the talk. By the way he's played Bresnan hasn't said anything wrong. You may not agree with it, may not like it, may think it's arrogant, but that doesn't changed the fact that he pretty much kicked Team India right in the nuts with his performance so far. Compare that to our bowlers like Sree who were tweeting that he was fully fit and ready to bowl 150kph before this series. That's far more insulting than anything Bresnan has said.

Look at the team out on the field, they're just going through the motions.There is no desire to be there or fight it out. Maybe we don't have the best bowlers in the world, but at least we can try hard on the field and create pressure. The bowlers have no control. Can't bowl 3 deliveries in the same area. Bresnan isn't talking of the past, he's talking about now. Imagine you're playing a team and they just can't be asked while you jut pick up easy runs and wickets, how would you feel?

Prior to the series all these taunts really irked me. But now I can't help but laugh and agree, our team looks helpless totally. But I think they're a very good team having a poor series. This very same team has given us so many glorious moments.
