The PAIN of losing the NO.1

PAIN? I am actually glad we lost it. Ever since we became no.1, our regular and irregular friends started to point fingers and because it's India with little brown men on top, it wasn't easily accepted. It was hard to latch on it, let's face it, we are not like Australia with an awesome set of bowlers, and even though this time our batting failed miserably, it's still our main strength. Atleast now, we can go down the ladder and re-focus - only time wil tell how England do well outside their domain in the future and see how they manage to keep the status More than the game, it's the baggage of reputation which killed us. Now, India is playing the best team in the world on Aug 18th - lets see how we do

Agree with the later stuff. at bold - I think it hurts more because we couldn't prove the critics wrong. I know that it's hard to contain and focus under so much criticism and pressure but then what's the point of being #1 if you can't deal with all that. The last line :band:... It will be even sweeter when we beat the world's best side. Bring it on pom poms B->
