absolutely my point. all three matches had something in them for bowlers always. our bowlers did not bend their back and were not consistently. only PK did well to his ability. Ishant look burn out after 6 tests on the trot and sreeshanth is not fit enough to play test cricket right now. Stamina is huge concern for Indian fast bowlers. Ishant must be rested for ODIs series. we do not want him to be injured. he will be our main bowler on bouncy aus pitches.

Indian team needs better management of it's limited resources. This is one reason why I think main players should be allowed to play all types of matches here and there.

Exactly. After the Australia Tour the selectors had Ishant playing in T20/ODI cricket as well ast Test matches. Almost around the clock cricket against international competition for a bowler who was barely 21 and then within a year or two his test match form was awful. There's no long/mid term plan to develop a bowler's strengths and iron out his weakenesses. Thankfully Ishant is a hard worker who kept on trying but we all know what happened to guys like RP, Pathan etc who were discarded like garbage when their form vanished or they struggled with injuries. The BCCI/Selectors just jump from one promising young bowler to another hoping to find a quality bowler amongst candidates rather than helping develop the individual to be the best cricketer he can be.

He was only 19 then and had only played 7-8 FC matches before his international debut and debuted as an 18 year old in Bangladesh in year 2007.

We've batted horribly. We bowled well considering that there were 3 bowlers available for 2 of the 3 matches. Our batting on the other hand appears pretty weak.Our batting has been no where close to the english, and the horrible fielding and dropped catches...

Yeah, I have been hearing about that for last 5-6 years. They fix the number of overs to be bowled by their bowlers in a year. Once they reach that limit, the bowler in not allowed to bowl in domestic matches. Another flaw in this policy is that they haven't rotated bowlers much. They don't try new bowlers. rather they destroy bowlers from same set of 5-6 players in every format. Once one bowler fails they bring another bowler which was earlier a failure. Time to give chance to young bowlers. Decide who are test players, who are ODI bowlers, T20 or even on the basis of tours.
