Dartbhajan is an imposter. When the going gets tough, he disappears. For someone who was "injured" and unable to bowl at Trent Bridge, he amazingly showed no sign of being hamstrung when he was able to bat and throw the bat. Even Dhoni did not disguise his disgust after that performance. The coward should never be allowed back into the test team. When the most senior bowler in the team is a passenger and then runs away when he is needed most, well that tells you everything about his character and team spirit.
You are being very harsh on Harby here. His confidence was shot in the first test and it was the mistake of the management to play him in Test 2. We can't blame him for the horrendous mistake of the management.

There's no reason why Harbhajan can't go back to domestic cricket and work on his bowling. Take Mishra for example. He's spent a lot of time this year working on how to put more revolutions on the ball with success and he outbowled Bhajji in the WI ODI series. Until Harbajhan can show real improvement in domestic cricket Mishra/Ojha can play for the team. I'm sure we're not going to miss Bhajji on his current form.

The team did play worse in the 3rd test even though Mishra took more wickets than Bhajji did in the 2nd test. Hmmm....May be they were missing the emotional leadership.

Harbhajan was never much of a wicket taker in ODI's unless the pitch had an effect, or if it was played on the sub continent (always rated him more of an economic bowler as opposed to a wicket taker...especially in recent form/times) Hopefully Ohja will be picked for the ODI XI in England, still think hes the best spinner for the short version we have

He is a total team person. You can say anything abt his performance but you cannot take away the fact that he gives it all. If Dhoni did that then he was wrong bcs it was batting that was the issue in this series not the bowling.

I don't think questioning his commitment would be right. IMO, the man gives his best on the cricket field, just that recently his best is nowhere close to good enough. As somebody rightly pointed out, he needs to get back to the domestic circuit/county cricket, get his basics right, get his mind sorted out and then come back with vengeance. Till then, Ashwin/Ojha can take over.
