21cent
He is old. Probably should retire soon. Or else he is going to be the laughing stock of the world and overshadow his past with a *****y ending. Wont be the first subcontinent cricketer to do that :fail: Link to comment

Sachinism
Dravid was in, taking a break may have took him out of the zone Link to comment
Iconoclast
Dravid has been India's only performing batsman. Why sacrifice him to the new ball ? Makes no sense .. Teenda should have opened. Link to comment

jusarrived
Dravid can bat at any position , but Laxman really got screwd going in at no3 all through the series ..SRT has superior technique to Dravid's & VVS ... was far better equiped to play at no3 in this series if Dravid was opening ...but we have seen Tendulkar is not the types who will budge easily , unlikely Dhoni or Fletcher would have requested hijm either . NareshK
Sachin is best at 4. But he has looked out of form and tentative throughout the series. Getting close to a milestone always does this to him. He doesnt play freely and looks jittery. That's when he is at his worst. Another thing that really screwed India's batting is the change in order. Laxman is not good at 3 or anywhere in the top order. Raina at 6 has been poor. The opening pair with Gambhir getting frequently injured and Sehwag still carrying a shoulder injury has not worked. In short, everything that could go wrong has gone wrong, apart from Dravid.
