ok then tell me if you dont think IPL and 20/20 mindset is not the culprit of this dibacle.. when was the last time you so these many players getting injured in one series.. ?? this defeat is shameful... freaking pujara was my next hope for a stable batsman and he got consumed to IPL as well..

You are not getting my point. It might very well be the case that the players underperformed in this series due to the IPL but that doesn't mean I want the IPL dead. The shorter version of the sport is the long term future and if India are ahead of the world in that area I am going to support them maintain that advantage over others and not be stupid and kill it because a bunch of English guys go on about tests being the "pinnacle of the sport". Look they invented test cricket, nice product which lasted a 100+ years but if it dies and a new product takes it place then that's what the market and the public want. End of discussion. I am not going to have silly attachments to the product, I would like to move on and make the most of this new product we have.

Why do tests come above anything else? Please explain that to me.

I will watch both the IPL and CL. At the end of the day its cricket and Indian players are playing in it. BCCI needs to get its scheduling right - no doubt. Players playing IPL is not the cause of the test debacle, but players playing both the IPL and international cricket without breaks is the real cause. BCCI should accomodate a long enough recuperation period after the IPL gets over. If it means skipping a windies series to provide players with a decent income, then so be it.

The IPL will die a silent death and nobody will even notice. As it is, viewership was down last year, and Kochi wants to move to Ahmedabad, so much for fan loyalty. Players keep changing so often, they probably need reminders on their cell phones to tell them which team they are playing for. Hope IPL dies once and for all.

The only good thing I've found with the IPL is to get a good view of the bowling action/fitness/form of young/out of the squad Indian bowlers. Everything else is just hype.

Sure I want to win other things too but I don't wish for the IPL to die. I don't see the benefit in that.

Until we beat England fair and square in a test series enthusiasms level as a fan will be somewhat low for me for all forms of cricket. There were lot of chest thumping going on from guys like Nasser prior to the series. We all made fun of him. Now that we are at the wrong end of the stick.

That mantle is long gone. A Test series whitewash will be a black mark on his captaincy resume no matter what he achieves in the rest of his career.

Some of the clowns on this site and cricinfo were expecting us to win 4-0. I mean come, we didn't have the balls to chase down 100 in 15 overs against a lowly side like the windies.
