Institutions which any country would be proud of. I will name a couple, I wish to hear more from you guys... 1) The Indian institutes of technology and management. 2) Indian armed forces Please add...

Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru The Center for Cellular and Molecular Biology in H'bad. National Chemical Lab, Pune Scientists from all these institutes publish in top-tier journals. I don't enough about AIIMS, but I would reckon they'd be up there, too.

I have worked all across Europe as a chartered accountant and yet to meet a better one than me! So I wish you wouldn't think that the ICAI is a joke. It is a venerable institution!

I thought you are asking about Institutes that are actually autonomous (ICAI are estb under an Act). Like IIT have their own branches separate from the Government engineering colleges. But ICAI doesn't have any college or institutions so I though it doesn't count. Anyways now that I know ICAI qualifies, it definitely is the Best institute in the whole of India :icflove:

I doubt Infosys is one of them. It must have been good in early years, but now it is bloated ( same is the case with others in the category Wipro, TCS, Satyam...). But yes, it depends what you are looking for and what level.
