It surely was. Om Puri has that kind of personality where he can come across as exceedingly mean when he wants to be. Since the movie had that background where he is beaten up by his Dad, then pushed around by corrupt cops and underworld goons it comes across as very convicing and scary. The scene that you are talking of captures that brilliantly, his transformation from a normal guy to somebody who has gone crazy with anger, and in this case constantly attack on his personality

You flip through the tv channels and you see Zee Cinema or set max showing some old movie of Om Prakash, even a little scene makes you continue watching the movie. I don't know what the old movie has. Is it because the new bollymovies are shot digitally with HD cameras or what, but there is something about watching old movies with standard defination prints and these GREAT STANARD actors like Om Prakash and Naseeruding Shah.

Om Prakash in this movie is some pahlwan or something, and is getitns a massage and is cracking some jokes and rubbing it in at some other folks around him. I mean that made me watch the whole movie on the go. May be just plain nostalgia? My dad feels the same way about Dillip Kumar and Dev Anand movies. Ya. Those 3 actors which I mentioned were just few examplers. I love watching movies like Bawarchi of Rajehs Khanna and movies like Angoor etc. I mean I would love to watch these all day long.

It could be innocence, the simple act of Om Prakash getting a massage at the hands of a naukar perhaps making simple jokes that you can relate to. And specially when Om Prakash goes "Aaahanaaa" :hysterical: Some of it is down to the childhood and all when life was rather easy and made some fond memories as well. My dad loves watching dev anand movies and mostly coz he likes to see old bombay - 50's, where it had old trams, and wider space, no traffic I have that feeling even though I was not even born then. Many of the movies, even those that were shot in 80s, if you watch closely you can see the same spots - Flora Fountain, South Mumbai Causaway, Colaba etc without too much traffic.

Do share, lets see how it was growing up in Mumbai in 80s. I raise vd7_SiPAyXs Well, gropwing up was awesome mainly as you don't have to worry about life much. Being the only child, I got everything and very happy go lucky. Watching these old movies takes me back, and I actually remember most of those days - like I got out playing cricket on a sunday coz it was start trek on TV, the slap I got from my teacher and how the new shoes were too tight. I was cleaning up my drawer the other day and found a cellphone leather case and the smell was so strong that it reminded me of monsoon season where my mother used to take me to linking road to buy new shoes, just before school started. The sales person used to shout the number and the guy on the open roof used to throw down couple of boxes, you wear him and walk like a fasion show ramp while there are atleast 3 people watching you The times where you took your cycle to "chacha" who fixed punctures and put new rubber brakes and oil up the chains. He says, its his friend "dilip" and I remember a scene, probably played by nas's shah, where he comes to the balcony and shouts "dilip" in frustration as he needs a friend like him too. It's later believed that dilip was just a fictitious name and the roommate was just a thief Another one was on doordarshan way back, I think it starred iftekar who is probably a judge or minister and the scene starts with servant sweeping the grass and find a pair of earrings which ten leads to a tough murder case...class movie This movie was definitely made in Tamil too.
