bulbul Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 300 on that Shimoga pitch is quite good. Had read that its a bowler friendly track, similar to Mysore. So karnataka have done well to get a good score on day one. In any case, they are through to the quarters. but we rarely lose matches or lead in league matches...also have to finish in Top of the league for obvious reasons :giggle:
Sir john Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Maharashtra 232/4 (91.0 ov) :nervous: moninder not playing.:((
msb1991 Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 6/22 for Jadeja' date=' he's demolished Railways on what looks like another poorly prepared track at Karnail Singh Stadium.[/quote'] It shows good discipline that he can cash in on such a wicket though. I think he is definitely a Test prospect if he can get his batting up to the standard of a number seven or extremely strong number eight (Swann or Broad, standard).

CoverDrive Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Kar 300/7..looking like we are going down without out Super trundlers :(( Do not worry we have the super trundler from a long legacy of trundling
CoverDrive Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Excited to see Suryakumar Yadav batting - I feel he is batting too low now with Rohit out of the team
rkt.india Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Baltej is a tall guy and has a high arm action pretty much similar to Shaun Pollock sometimes and is looking the fastest bowler in this match.
CoverDrive Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 both bowlers tiring out already 8 overs in the spell

Needs to continue working hard on his bowling and keep scoring some big runs in domestic runs.
saneindian Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Another 100 for Dinesh Karthik. Thats back to back 100s, looks to be slowly regaining his touch. Could be on the plane to Australia for the ODIs unless the selectors decide to give Saha a go in the ODIs.
gaurav92 Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 He deserves a chance purely as a batsman, he has a decent technique.
saneindian Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 He deserves a chance purely as a batsman' date=' he has a decent technique.[/quote'] He did get a run of about 20 ODIs last year. Like Parthiv Patel, had the problem of getting starts and then throwing it away. For 17 straight ODIs, he got to double figures, but went past 50 just twice and could not convert any of those knocks to a 100. And then after a disastrous series in SL (14, 10, 9, 0, 0) was finally dumped. Hope he gets to play in the middle order this time though. Opening the innings isn't his forte. Could be used to give MSD a rest for some ODIs in Australia and later in the year too.
SachDan Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Wasim Jaffer becomes highest run-getter in Ranji Trophy overtaking Amol Mazumdar's record of 8237 runs.
Sachin=GOD Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Wasim Jaffer becomes highest run-getter in Ranji Trophy overtaking Amol Mazumdar's record of 8237 runs. :hatsoff:
G_B_ Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 too bad it did not work out for Wasim for the Indian side.
Sachinism Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 ^^ Yup looks like it, after a long dry run Mukund missed out on here (law of averages) Jadeja didn't get a chance to add to his tally. Though now bashing some runs with the bat on this difficult wicket
