The Dark Horse Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Let the finalists be confirmed, then lets see :D
Sir john Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Let the finalists be confirmed' date=' then lets see :D[/quote'] rajasthan always played for first inning lead. chopra nd kanitkar are there main batsman. pankaj is main bowler. harayana have good openers, sachin rana is a good batsman, saini nd dewwan too. mishra need to lead from front in bowling haryana have gujju Harshal Patel . TN looks like a champion team. badri, mukund,dk,vijay bala the captain, TN on top due to northies. northies in madrasis team:hehe:
ganeshran Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Are the rules changed....last year 2 plate league teams allowed in Semi finals... To Mari amma..... Let u r team get a first innings lead against Karnataka tommarrow before declaring it has worst team :winky: IPL/CL doesnt matter...only Ranji matters now :winky: :giggle:
Sir john Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 its good that one of my supported team is there in semis.:yay:
The Dark Horse Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Who's the northi? except Gupta ji :P BTW TN also have their problems, just hope they make it :nervous:
shinchan Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 mumbai done really well here without a team missing so many first-choice players...:hatsoff::hatsoff: that reminds me of something:mi:
ganeshran Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 TN on top due to northies. northies in madrasis team:hehe: Who is northie except Sunny Gupta? :hmmmm:
rkt.india Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 probably too much of proper cricket coaching :) I feel Mumbai cricket is all about batting and all our great bowlers have come from other places. Who is the best Indian Bowler from Mumbai - Ajit Agarkar :--D Abey Kuruvilla :--D I would not call Zaheer from bombay because he moved later there Yes. As Ian Bishop mentioned during Mumbai test about a Mumbai fast bowler who wanted to bowl fast, but their coaches were emphasizing on bowling just line and length rather than try and bowl fast.
Needforspeed Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 We need better result oriented pitches, where 4 days are enough. Also in the league stage there should be much more points (10 or 12), for an outright win. At present a first innings lead gives you 3 points and an outright win only 5 points. It is safer to play for a first innings lead.

The Dark Horse Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 TN on top due to northies. northies in madrasis team:hehe: Your team's(MP) highest wicket taker is a southie:hehe: :cantstop:
Sir john Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 MP main southie chalta hai.we have 10% population of madrasis in MP.₯₯ I think kaushik is a northie.:nervous:
BeautifulGame Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 TN biggest issue is fielding.I read about Balaji saying before QF he was trying to improve their slip catching. Then in the 2nd innings against Maharashtra (which i only watched on 3rd day) they twice dropped Maharashtra openers. If they continue to drop like this against Mumbai they will make us pay hard.Best chance for Tn win a Ranji trophy.Hope they dont disappoint again like last year.
bulbul Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 After 2 days of relentless thinking i am decided to Support Jayalalitha's State...aftrall she is born in Mysore :winky: comon gayz thrash Mumbai :yay:
Mariyam Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 After 2 days of relentless thinking i am decided to Support Jayalalitha's State...aftrall she is born in Mysore :winky: comon gayz thrash Mumbai :yay: It took you two days of relentless thinking to figure that out? Pentium inside?
StatsRock Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Someone asked how the venue is decided: It normally alternates between the 2 teams. Mumbai and TN have been hosting every other match between the two going back to 1949. Even though I'd planned to, I was unable to go to the stadium for both the 2003 and 2004 finals between these 2. Hopefully this time BCCI will host it. That said, I wonder why the hell should the toppers of Groups A and B meet in the semis. Dumbass BCCI :bumsmack:

Dumbass BCCI :bumsmack: Thats because Rajastan was considered group toppers in Group A since they are Ranji champions even if they finish only 3rd.Similar luxury would have been affored to Baroda in group B if they have qualied since they were runner ups last year. Regardless of who finishes first in points table the teams that reached the Ranji final are given group topper status in their respective groups.

I'm really surprised none of our former players have criticized bcci for such moronic scheduling...or is it that they dont care a s**t about Ranjis?
