and bowls even better on the field :giggle:
Nah ,You got to understand pitch was flat and 188 was always going to chaseable if they got off to right start.munaf and kumar have bowl well in odis recently and ashwin also bowled well, but when india picked 4 bowlers for a t20 match we lost the game there itself .

They were at least 20-30 runs short. It was a T20 at the end. We had 164 runs in 20 overs in T20 which is about the same run rate around 8 in this match as well. In T20, we were 15-20 runs short and should scored around 9 RPO 180. Here too, we should have scored 9 RPO around 210.l Our bowlers are useless after all. We cannot expect them to defend 8 RPO on a wet day.

Rahaane, Dravid, and Kohli played too slow for a T20 match. You need at least an SR of 125+ if it is a T20 match which it became in the end. We were 30 in 3 overs and then in next 6 overs, only scored 29 run, at 59 in 9 overs while England were around 100 in 10 overs. These runs were difference.

Dravid played the way he plays, and kohli also got out trying to hit. It was purely the bowlers fault if they cannot defend 8.17 run rate, pathetic performance.

Rahaane did well but Sr was only 114, Dravid SR 105, Kohli SR 100. If it was not for Raina, otherwise, we would have struggled to score 164 which we did in 20 overs in T20 match. It hads become a T20 match and the conditions there were wet, bowlers had to struggle because of wet ball and wet outfield. There was no swing on offer as ball got wet and for a spinner, it was also tough to get hold off it. If team plays 7 batsmen, they need to score accordingly, need to maintain strike rate. It was only PaPa and Raina who played like a T20 match. Though we cannot blame Rahaane, Dravid, and Kohli as they are not T20 players at all. We did not have enough runs in first 9 overs, just around 6 .5 runs per over. This team will always struggle to score runs if it is T20 with no Sehwag, Yuvi, Uthappa, and Yusuf, etc. who are hitters. We only have Raina right now. Dhoni is one who takes time to settle and then can hit biog shots. He needs to bat up the order. Bowlers did not do great, but we already knew that we are playing with 4 bowlers and our bowling is weak which needed at least 20 more runs of cushion.

Gotta agree with rkt here. There was no real intent in the middle overs, they were just looking to milk Swann and Bopara who were both looking very hittable. Ideally Dhoni would have come at 4 to get his eye in. But at the end of the day I don't think the bowlers would have defended any total yesterday so it's much ado about nothing.

The way bowlers looked helpless, they would have found it difficult to defend even 210-220. India should look forward to play with 5 bowlers from next match. 7 batsmen are useless. At 1 batsman hardly gets 10 balls to face.

They were around 125/2 in 12 overs.

West midlands it was a shame you were banned from the other forum as I would have enjoyed your discomfort this summer .You must feel pretty daft now after all the rubbish you have spouted this last couple of years  Mind you we all know you wouldnt have logged in as you never did when India lost
