rkt.india Posted October 23, 2011 Author Posted October 23, 2011 Steve Finn is one of the toughest bowler to face because of his pace and height combination, Though he does not clock this kind of speed in test matches, the last I saw was against SL in test for India tour and he looked very average and sometimes pathetic, but now he looked improved in terms of pace as well. Ball coming from 7 feet height and at 150K is always hard to face.

There is a HUGE difference in him and the rest. I'm sure he is the fastest bowler in the world right now. I have seen cummins, roach, riaz, johnson, steyn, morkel , i have to say FINN tops them all with the pace he is generating right now. He will be fast in any format.

He will be fast in any format. We will have to see him in tests, I saw him just 5-6 months ago in April-May last time in tests against SL and he was struggling bit time thought he took 5 wickets, but that because other bowlers were even poor. Yes, in ODIs, he is certainly the fastest bowler in the world right now.
achilles Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 So the rubbish ICC has decided to brush this 22yr old nothing's cowardly act under the carpet. Nothing new for the spineless ICC. These are the same guys who fined Praveen Kumar a sizeable match fee in England and charged 250 pounds to Bresnan for snatching the cap away from the umpire. A lot but he didn't make it so obvious. In that case, it was wrong on Virat's part. For me responding is fine, initiating is not.
Cricket_Fan Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Cant wait for Broad and Finn bowling and abusing in tandem. Two bowlers with the funniest surnames, it would be a pleasure for Indians especially for Kohli, Yuvraj, Gambhir n their ilk . Few of samples of what would Indians to Barbie n Feeeennn.. "Hey Finn, You gota a nice last name bro. Did your mother went to the sea or your dad brought the fish home?":hysterical: "Hey broady, you must have got this name from your Mother's family, right? " :hysterical: My Dear Serani, the total number of Maa-Behn abuses in Hindi itslef is greater than the total number of words in Uk English. And If you add the countless and colourful ones in regional languages on top of that, Barbie Dolls would have to replace thier eardrums before going back to England :finger:

daryl1985 Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 What a bowler. Will be world class for years to come.
King Tendulkar Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Just shows once again. Big pace bowlers need a run, let them learn and develop but stick with them and dont replace with trundlers. i.e play aaron and yadav at all times, we will reap benefit long term. Also any other 90 mph bowlers get them in now

panther Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 What happened to finn this season he has lost 10km/h' date='even in odis his pace is notup.[/quote'] indian speed guns
CG Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 indian sped guns may be as the speed guns used by sky this season seem to clocking more realistic speeds in earlier seasons broad, bresnan, anderson were alll near 90miles.
panther Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 broad has given up a bit of pace for swing you can see it from his action, finn was 90+ on indian speed guns but on sky speed guns he rarely crosses 90.
Old guy Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 broad has given up a bit of pace for swing you can see it from his action' date=' finn was 90+ on indian speed guns but on sky speed guns he rarely crosses 90.[/quote'] they all deliberately ball slowly here/// also bowlers did hit 150.. re u implying they crossed 155-156 on normal speed guns ? most english bowler reduce pace in tests its less abt flar more about planning and discipline and it works :((

Serani Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 best was low 90's which is a bit down for him, usually gets some through at 95, shame he doesnt know where its going. Speed guns just a bit slower this season on sky.
rkt.india Posted June 20, 2012 Author Posted June 20, 2012 broad has given up a bit of pace for swing you can see it from his action' date=' finn was 90+ on indian speed guns but on sky speed guns he rarely crosses 90.[/quote'] Finn was clocking 150K on Sky speed guns last year. against us in ODIs.
