falcons360 Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 England just called up Stuart Meaker apparently clocked at 96kmph for Surry. While India has no pacers England keeps producing one after another. According to Cricinfo: Pietermaritzburg-born and raised before his family moved to England in 2001, Stuart Meaker is making big strides as a fast bowler at Surrey. With a short run-up and low trajectory, he is reminiscent of Simon Jones at the bowling crease. Like Jones, Meaker has attracted plenty of attention for the pace he generates and though rumours that he was clocked at 96mph may be overcooking it, he is certainly fast and getting quicker.
rkt.india Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Even Varun Aaron has bowled at 95.63 mph in Vijay Hazaare trophy final.

We've got bag full of fast bowlers mate still our selectors only give chance to bowlers less than 130kph like Vinay Kumar.PK is a swing bowler between 125-130kph,Munaf & RP have the ability to bowl 85-87 mph but they are too lazy to do that. But we've got Ishant who clocks between 135-145kph & even 150kph sometimes when he's in rhythm. Then we've got some upcoming Fast bowlers like Aaron,Umesh,Shukla,Nechim,Tyagi,Shami etc. who can clock 140-145 consistently. Aaron & Umesh,ve clocked 153.4kph & 152.2 kph respectively. So we've got some exciting talent but our selectors & team management don't give chance to showcase their talent.
rkt.india Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 We too have some genuine pacers coming up. Now it is all about how to develop them as they all are very raw.
MCcricket Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Meaker is beautiful to watch perfect height where he could be good on any kinda track , fantastic run up action , old school fast bowler impressive.Varun Aaron , Sudeep Tyagi , VRV Singh are certainly ripe according to me all can be fastish,Umesh needs to learn some skills with the ball he is up and down at 140 's, he has to swing or seam coming at that height to be good.Shami ,Rahul promising have'nt seen per Akram 4 to 5 pacers are ripe but he did not name them, we should use his expertise.
vamos_rafa Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Pietermaritzburg born. Another import??

msb1991 Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 He's done very well at FC cricket but poor in OD cricket. Fully expect India to hit him about.
Cricket Tragic Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 I don't think he will get a game unless a few guys go down.
ChanaLal Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Meaker is Next generation of Test cricketer
