Good thing for umesh which came out of recently concluded tests that he has some genuine wicket taking deliveries.....the one which got samules is an absolute beauty....But somehow i got the impression that he is not brainy,,,,,,didn't saw him setting up any batsmen.....He is too toung to international cricket to do that butatleast there wasn't an attempt in that directions.....however very few greats could do that.....

i think setting up job will be done by aaron he is 2 years younger then umesh he seems to be the one with brain :P they need to stay with zaheer all the time stalk him if that helps lmao even ishant has no brain sigh

having said that Umesh has played a lot more first class cricket than Aaron Maybe time for Aaron to play more first class cricket now that he has a taste of the international stage?

umesh improved here.. i think at international cricket u will improve much more.. he will talk and bowl with likes of zack that will help and tbh yadav was much much more wayward than aaron vs england... even in first test vs west indies after that he improved just give him chances he has lots of good things about him bowls with close to stumps, has pace (today was confidence thing still he bowled some 143 km/h bowls) has good seam positions so... btw ashwin too had a bad day.. so what? u dont drop them in 1 match why would he bowl fast if ur gonna do that support him like other countries do even steyn wasnt like steyn at start .

i will add.. so steyn was persisted with...he is best bowler right now.. just keep faith in him trust me he is doing many good things ;) control will come with confidence and experince

oh yeah totally. Both of them have a lot of potential. Now in a dream world personally both should play a season's country cricket or in Sa or Aus. I am just worried that staying for lengths outside the team not playing any cricket will affect them. Aaron is still only 22. His ranji stats are not good, but there is potential. All i am suggesting is move him to a big ranji team and give him a run for a season in the domestics. Just a season. No way would i drop Aaron for this series, not especially with the team winning.

wont really help him .. he is selected for australia so all the people who do matter think he will perform he can be perfect 3rd seamer in tests in case of injury cos he can surprise u with swing with old ball would play him right through this series if u see potential in fast bowler play them cos they dont have long life.. trust me. in internation cricket they will maintain pace but in fc i dont think any one would keep on bowling fast for long time see how australia selected cummings with only 4 fc games

what does worry me though is India did persist with Ishant Sharma and selected him at the age of 19. Now thats not been a disaster but not been great either. Ishant is currently out of the ODI team.

ya but if u ask me right now he looks in very good rhythm just that seam positition and that guy does not really uses his brain on the other hand this guy looks like a smart person more over ishant depends on pitch he does not swings much this guy reverses balls and.. can swing ball imo ishant will bowl well in australia :D he just looks like getting better now (atlast)

btw ishant never picked wickets in australia when he was discovered he was impressive but thats it in perth he took like 2-3 wickets in that impressive innings next match every one was hammered again so wicket taking wasnt really his strong point :P

Ishant has averaged 28 in India. Which is a very good avg. for his age. And he'll only get better from here. Let alone disaster , he has been a blessing I'd say. As for ODIs ,apart from current pacers we have bowlers who can bowl 10 overs with decent economy(Munna , Nehra). So Ishant should play only tests for 1-2 years.

Aaron pace wise is around 135-140 on average and an odd 140+ delivery. Whereas Umesh is a full on fast bowler and bowls much better line and length. Aaron should be persisted with though, will learn in the process. Anyway its not like we have better bowlers waiting in the wing.

no that was just lack of rhythm in alst match he bowled most of balls over 140 sreesanth bowls occasional 140 ball more over sreesanth's main ball is out swinger diff type of bowlers.. aaron bowls close to wickets and reverses the old ball in suitabe condition.. just see him when is in better rhythm he bowls some overs like this.. 141,143,145,145,144,140 (this was in last game)
