jusarrived
yadav going at 6 runs an over in a test match' date=' hmmm...[/quote'] 3 wickets of 114 balls is all what matters ..how can you talk about economy of Test bowlers ? Link to comment
kabira
bowled really well, but bowled too short at times. Link to comment
ViruRulez
Yadav is doing great but he needs to work a bit on his accuracy too. Many of his balls were great but he was mixing them with too many bad balls. If he gains Steyn's accuracy if not his swing in the long term then he will turn into a great bowler. Link to comment

express bowling
Umesh should try to bowl quick aimed at one spot on the pitch without trying so many variations. Just a few bouncers from time to time is needed apart from the stock delivery. Link to comment
Old guy
i think wht he did today was needed cos again ishant went wicketless zack only got after 50-60 overs so would u really complain? did ya saw wht happened in england we never leaked nay runs and we never got any wickets this guy was bowling some beauties just wait and watch he woul be much improved in 2nd innings (thats wht he does improves considerably) and i dont mind runs he gives would take his figures over ishant's figures any day! flamy
Who can forget the Ishant sting against punter man! that was epic This was a slight more impressive to me, maybe because it's fresh. Yadav really got under his skin this time. what happened? Link to comment
Old guy
what happened? today ushant and yadav just bowled some beauties to ponting he mean since yadav is doing this for first time so its more interesting Link to comment
Show_stopper
what happened? Hit him on the helmet. Beat him for pace a couple of times including a yorker that Ponting barely kept out while losing his footing. Finally dismissed him with a beautiful outswinger. Link to comment
CG
ishant? idk lol and back then yadav wasnt ready imo he improved a lot his pace too today he bowled near 148 some balls i just know after rain stops he is gonna bowl much better spell full quick out swingers when he does that u will se why people are comparing him to steyn Umesh was ready back then better than unadkat anyway Link to comment

Umesh can bowl more accurately at high pace than he did today and take wickets , as he had often shown during his brief career. Why does it have to be either / or for wicket taking bowling and reasonable accuracy ? If he was more accurate during his later spells when Siddle was batting he could have got a fifer. I also think that Umesh would improve as the tour progresses as he would learn which line and length to bowl on Aussie pitches. Big pluses for Umesh today -- Quickest of 150.1 k, atleast 2 deliveries at 150 k or more, average speed around 143.5 k and lots of deliveries at 145 k or more. -- He bowled a lot of outswingers, a few inswingers and incutters as well. -- Looked threatening whenever he was accurate and comes across as a true strike bowler in tests. Bowled quick bouncers also . Link to comment
akshayxyz
hmm.. I saw first session, he looked good.. but whats with the runs? what happened? in almost as many overs, he gave more than combined total of Ishant+Zaheer. Link to comment

saneindian
He is going to cause havoc in some of his spells in Australia. Lad is a quick learner and has got real speed. Was hitting 145 for fun. Overdid the short pitch stuff, especially post lunch, but that was down to inexperience. Link to comment
Vijay.Sharma
Where did you guys get to know the speeds of the bowlers - cricinfo? I was watching the game on TV and did not see Star Cricket showing the speeds of the bowlers Link to comment
