India captain Mahendra Dhoni questioned England's attitude following his team's five-wicket win in the third one-day international that secured the series. Some England players were warned about behaviour in Monday's second match but the aggression continued in Mohali. "A bit of chit-chat is fine, that makes the game interesting," Dhoni said. "You don't always want a friendly series, as long as things don't get too personal but I think they should change the plan for the next two games." Dhoni also intimated that England had been arguing amongst themselves during their latest defeat, which ended skipper Alastair Cook's unbeaten run of three one-day series victories "It's very important to be nice to your fellow team-mates," Dhoni said. "There were lots of gestures flowing around in the field when it comes to the England side. "When you are under pressure, most of the individuals will definitely commit mistakes. "These are the things that really shape the character of the side. I think their strategy is not working. That's what's happening right now." England arrived in India full of optimism having comprehensively beaten Dhoni's team in all forms of the game on home soil during the summer. However, familiar difficulties with sub-continental conditions ensured they remain without a one-day series victory in India since 1984. "It's not only about 'giving it' to the opposition. You have to be fair," Dhoni said of the English team's conduct. "If our players are saying something to the opposition - which happens at times - I don't want them to get really personal or say things that are not within the guidelines."

its very unlike england to behave this way. i think this is just a case of them trying to copy australia. playing 'ard, tough, mental disintegration, and all that. it looks silly because they aren't half as good as some of the aussie sides of the past. sledging doesn't quite work when the opposition is flying at 230/2 and when you are giving away 7 and a half runs per over

+1. They are trying to copy the Oz. Even for the Oz it didnt work out after McGrath and Warney retired.

I don't think it's unlike England to behave like this. The thing is England have only recently become one of the top teams, before that they were average at best. They had nothing to lose whereas now it's different. I think we are now seeing their true colours. British people have this mentality that the world revolves around them, I'm not surprised at all.

I'd say Swann goes OTT a lot of the time...leaving aside his autobiography, his on-pitch demeanor when things are going awry is pretty awful. Samit Patel got a rollocking and a half, and others sarcastic applause when things went well. I can't imagine that helps when the team is playing poorly. Sledging the Indians, to be expected. Pretty lame stuff though.

They've always (well the new generation) behaved like this. When they're winning and things are going your way it doesn't look so bad because it will be done in a jokey way, but when you're losing and you're frustrated it gets like this. Same thing with criticising team mates like it is without holding back, is all good when you're winning as you're in a happy mood, but when you're getting your ass kicked and you are already down, it doesn't go down well
