^I would like to see them ball with Red Ball and then judge on their swing.
Yadav swung it appreciably in the Irani Trophy. Varun struggled for rhythm but when he git it right in that match, he too was able to move the ball. They surely have the ability and skills to swing the ball and also to gert it move off the track.

I hope Nechim is also given a chance against WI in ODIs. On the basis of performance in that he should be considered for ODIs in Australia.
:two_thumbs_up::two_thumbs_up::two_thumbs_up::two_thumbs_up: i'm all in FOR NECHIM.. Some wise cricketer said, BRING THE FAST BOWLERS IN WHEN THEY ARE BOWLING FAST. They have a small Shelf Life. Nechim should be drafted to give some confidence and experience of international cricket, the rest would be unto him.

Exactly get him in. We will wait 4 years until the FC grind of slow pitches, humid conditions , natural ageing and loads of overs reduces him to 82 mph trundler. Get him in now

If team management is serious about creating a good pool of pacers , then they will have to take bold steps. With Varun , Umesh and Nechim being the team , we will have an inexperienced attack , but experienced bowlers don't have much to offer at this time so its good opportunity to blood some new pacers.

Nechim has to be on the next India A tour and if possible in the BP 11 that will play the WI. Its baffling why he wasn't even picked for the Challengers.
He simply has not done much in domestic OD cricket. It would seem that his IPL career has developed his bowling tremendously and so I fully expect him to make some inroads in the 50 over format and possibly the FC format. I don't think he is the type of bowler who will produce much pace in FC or Test cricket but he definitely has the swing and zip to make up for that.

When the likes of Aravind/Gony can be chosen on the basis of IPL performances and a guy like Unadkat picked on the basis of his u-19 bowling, why not give chances to a guy who has shown he can move the ball at an appreciable pace? I am not saying pick him for the national side right away, but at least take him to the A tours and play him in the challenger series. There definitely is potential there and any guy who can bowl 86-87 mph consistently needs to be encouraged.

Aravind has a good OD record. Gony had a good Deodhar Trophy. Unadkat's selection was madness to everyone. I never said not to pick him on A tours, I'm just explaining why no Challenger selection occurred.

Nope get them on board. The experience will be vital. We will reap benefits. They may even be to quick for aussie and cause havoc. Unless you want Vinay Kumar on the flight
Vinay shouldn't be playing in Australia. We want fast, quick bowlers there.
Yes, but we don't have zaheer and chosing RP would be stupid. Ishant was inexpreienced when he first made a huge impact in oz. So i dont think going with bowlers who got potential and pace would be a bad idea at all. From what we have seen, umesh bowls little short so the oz pitches will be ideal for him to bowl.
Even Ishant was inexperienced last time' date=' more inexperienced than these two.[/quote'] BluePanter, Rkt... A make-or-break series so early in the career could put immense pressure on the young turks. Ishant had the luxury of playing alongside a strong unit. The only thing I worry about is the career of these 2 fine finds. One bad tour and they will be labelled the worst possible term in Indian cricket - "discard".

It will be Ishant , Zak and Yadav or Varun. I dont think Sree has anything to offer now and he is pretty much finished. He should now reduce his run up and dedicate his career towards T20 cricket (IPL only).

other quicker bowlers like nechim too should be given chance now' date=' ........looking at the way junaid khan is "bowling", i wonder why india doesnt want to use bowlers like kamran khan or salim veragi both can bowl close 140[/quote'] Saleem Veeragi is not even playing for Baroda was called for chucking.

One thing that suprises me is that Umesh bowled faster then Varun , am not sure why Varun is being touted as a find as far as fast bowler with sheer speeed, Umesh is not written about in the same way pace wise, although I think Varun has not bowled at his fastest here, Umesh has improved his pace and added some variations. He can be pushed more for test's , also has stamina and action doesn't take away much from him. They are both different , Umesh being one with whippy action , hits the bat hard, seams, a bit wayward , bowls a bit shorter.Varun can reverse swing, has a strong shoulder in the action, can be a good ODI bowler for now, also bowls good yorker , fuller deliveries which swing.

I have a feeling that Zak will get fit in time for Australia. This will probably be his last chance to play a test series down under and he will not miss it. Plus, if we want to take a rookie attack to play tests in aus then it is imperative that we have a strong leader to guide those rookies. If we play Zak, Pk/Ishant, and Aaron/Umesh along with Ashwin/Ojha as the bowling line-up for the tests.... then India can win the series. Otherwise, our batting will probably hold fort for a drawn series! Zak, Pk, Aaron, Umesh, Ishant, Ojha, Ashwin
