rkt.india Posted November 2, 2011 Author Posted November 2, 2011 Has he been selected for Hyd Ranji team for this season? Yes
BeautifulGame Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Is he also picked up by any IPL team too? Not sure he will get any attention even if he perform well considering Hydrabed are in Plate division?
MCcricket Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I feel he will be picked up by one of the franchises for the IPL soon,Hyd game is delayed by rain , he sure looks a class above all our bowlers, even better then some who have played for India.
MCcricket Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Anwar Ahmed gets his first wicket , Jharkhand opener
gakgupta Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 by any chance...are there an highlights available?
gakgupta Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 bowled only 9 overs and other useless pacer bowled 20 overs...
MCcricket Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 @MCC any idea about his average pace ? He seeems Fast medium, seemed to hurry the batsmen , they did not have any clues.
MCcricket Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Anwar Ahmed got 3 wickets in his first game, also was partly responsible in giving Hyderabad its win
mastana Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Good to see some fast bowlers are coming up. Future looks good in the bowling department. Can't say the same about batting though.
MCcricket Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Anwar Ahmed has taken 4 more wickets against Assam including 3 top order wickets to land fatal blows for his side, his wicket tally is pretty good, this guy should just be tested out, if Cummins can play for OZ, WITH JUST 3 DOMESTIC GAMES BEHIND HIM , THEN A 25 YEAR OLD IF HE IS SPECIAL NEEDS TO BE PUSHED IN REAL QUICK TIME.
the_indian_fan Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 hope he is selected for windies odis
Show_stopper Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Anwar Ahmed has taken 4 more wickets against Assam including 3 top order wickets to land fatal blows for his side' date=' his wicket tally is pretty good, this guy should just be tested out, if Cummins can play for OZ, WITH JUST 3 DOMESTIC GAMES BEHIND HIM , THEN A 25 YEAR OLD IF HE IS SPECIAL NEEDS TO BE PUSHED IN REAL QUICK TIME.[/quote'] But does he have the kind of pace that Cummins generates? I doubt it
MCcricket Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 But does he have the kind of pace that Cummins generates? I doubt it Looking at his video , him being left hander, very tall, got the ball to jump on dead tracks, he definitely seemed like he has pace, although not express.I find him the most promising bowler among all Ranji players,I seriously believe he has potential , look at his vdeo , link posted on the this thread
carnish Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Looks like NUWAN ZOYSA from sri lanka in the 90's... the only thing going for him is the angle leaving the right hander.... dont think he wd be useful against the left handers so much...
JeffThommo_fan Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 He has a long way to go. Develop some more pace and in-swing as well. In 1-2 yrs, he will be completely ready
Trundler27 Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 lol in 1-2 years ppl will say that he is too old to be selected in the national team. I say that if he is in the top eschelon of wicket takers this ranji season, then he surely deserves a look in just to see what he has to offer considering our other left arm pace options are severly limited.

NUWAN ZOYSA WAS PATHETIC AMBLING TO THE CREASE BOWLED 124 K'S , WOULD NOT JUMP OR BEND HIS BACK EXACTLY OPPOSITE TO THIS GUY, have u seen the video of him bowling, fast run up good action bends his back and gets pace, u do make some absurd comparisions, or maybe u haven't followed cricket for too long or know enough
