Dravid_TheWall Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 As bad as that dancer Sreesanth is' date=' he's managed the same record as Ishant. I just don't understand the love for the latter. Three disastrous series performances in England, India & Australia and no recent domestic record should mean he has to start afresh and prove himself. Shortlisting him for the next 2 yrs, seriously :wall:[/quote'] Somene with insight :hatsoff:
Dravid_TheWall Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Lets us not forget, not so long ago..Sreesanth did this to King Kallis. Exactly. You play your best bowlers. No brainer really. Skills > Hardwork. Ishant will average 40 plus soon if we keep playing him lol. Guy has already played almost 50 tests and is talked about as "inexperienced."

Dravid_TheWall Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 stopped reading there If I was coach I would choose the best players then channel that into success. It's only a matter of time before Sammy and Gibson beg Gayle, Sars and Taylor to comeback into the test team despite criticizing them before hand. Hardwork gets you no where in sport. The basic ingredients have to be there first which is why skills is superior. Direct contrast to Ishant saying itt's 70% fitness and 30% skill. Definitely the other way around but it's not a nice thing to admit in public. Lara is Lara because of his talent first and foremost. Oh and :finger:
Laaloo Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Pity that team India can't even beg Sreesanth. The guy is out for some time :sniffle:

Oh and :finger: n what about likes of Chanderpaul,Kumble,Dravid? even if u hv skills,u HAVE to work hard.while if u work really hard u can succeed even with limited skills
Sid Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 What went wrong in England? Form is temporary, class is permanent What a moron
Dravid_TheWall Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 n what about likes of Chanderpaul,Kumble,Dravid? even if u hv skills,u HAVE to work hard.while if u work really hard u can succeed even with limited skills Yeah but skills come first, that is my point. Ishant is not good enough, so his "hardwork" is irrelevant. Likes of Chanders, Kumble and Dravid are gifted at what they did/do!
Dravid_TheWall Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Pity that team India can't even beg Sreesanth. The guy is out for some time :sniffle: BCCI has been waiting a long time for to recall him from injury. He said he was available for T20 wc but with surgery recovery now, he is ruled out for a while.

Likes of Chanders, Kumble and Dravid are gifted at what they did/do![/quote'] no they are not gifted.they succeeded purely through hardwork.on the other hand there are guys like Rohit,Sreesanth,Umar Akmal who got all the skills but cannot succeed due to lack of hard work
daryl1985 Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 no they are not gifted.they succeeded purely through hardwork.on the other hand there are guys like Rohit' date=Sreesanth,Umar Akmal who got all the skills but cannot succeed due to lack of hard work Completely disagree. They all had talent but maximised it through hard work. To say the likes of Dravid, Chanderpaul and Kumble were not talented is wrong. Maybe you could say that for someone like Paul Collingwood.

To say the likes of Dravid' date=' Chanderpaul and Kumble were not talented is wrong. Maybe you could say that for someone like Paul Collingwood.[/quote'] i dont think u can play at international cricket w/o any talent collingwood had limited strokes yes.. but he had other qualities which made him good enough

To say the likes of Dravid' date=' Chanderpaul and Kumble were not talented is wrong. Maybe you could say that for someone like Paul Collingwood.[/quote'] I'm not saying they had zero talent, but limited talent as compared to others.Dravid was dropped initially for being too slow in ODIs but now is an ODI legend.similarly u wouldnt fancy a leggie bowler to get 600 wickets if he cant turn the ball big OTOH likes of Graeme Hick,Kambli,Kaneria had more talent but achieved nothing
superstar Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 The title of this thread makes me sad' date='i cannot believe bcci is still listening to players when it comes to injuries.[/quote'] I am pretty sure the team doctor mentioned that for him. Also I do not believe players are stupid to go and play with a major injury that might end their career
Dravid_TheWall Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 no they are not gifted.they succeeded purely through hardwork.on the other hand there are guys like Rohit' date='Sreesanth,Umar Akmal who got all the skills but cannot succeed due to lack of hard work[/quote'] Disagree completely. Your opinion. Maybe you can also be Dravid then, if you put in hardwork :giggle:
Lord Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 Disagree completely. Your opinion. Maybe you can also be Dravid then' date=' if you put in hardwork :giggle:[/quote'] too late now.maybe if I had started earlier u never know:P besides I am a lazy guy anyways
