jairamesh Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 It will be silly to drop Yadav. He has to play all three matches. And then judge his performances, after three Tests vs this Windies side on Indian pitches I would like to see Yadav achieve at least 8 wkts at an average below 35. If anything, if India win the 2nd Test, then I would drop/rest Ishant and play both Yadav and Aaron together.
vvvslaxman Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 No bowlers deserves to be dropped from first test. All did well. But one of our batsman needs a wake up call.
phaedrus Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 If anything, if India win the 2nd Test, then I would drop/rest Ishant and play both Yadav and Aaron together. absolutely. itll be good for both of them to play with the series win behind them.
Sid Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Would love to see Aaron getting a game somehow.I have high hopes from him as far as reverse swing is concerned.
Clarke Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Are you nuts, consider dropping Yadav after one game ? Unless the pitch assists seamers only or there's a sudden injury, changing the playing XI shouldn't be a consideration.
ShebbySB Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Only change to be made for Eden test is as follows: Rahane in for Yuvraj. Win Eden test and the following change should be made for 3rd test: Aaron in for Yadav' date=' Rahul Sharma in for Ravi Ashwin so he can spend some time with his wife, Kohli in for Dhoni and GG captain and Rahul Dravid wicketkeeper.[/quote'] Rahane is an opening batsman.U can't play him at no.6,Kohli can play there.
carnish Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 same team though m apprehensive after ojha's 2nd inns performance about playing him outside the SC... Ashwin is gonna be our go to guy in AUSTRALIA
Dravid_TheWall Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Drop Ishant and let aaron and yadav bowl in tandem. We have already seen what Ishant does for the last years (average talent), what does he have to gain from WI 2nd test??? We don't often get this opportunity in tests... Rest Ishant. Plus we have ashwin and ojha who are bowling well which will lessen the pressure on Aaron and Yadav. No Pujara so UV should stay at 6. Don't agree with Kohli replacing UV.
Dravid_TheWall Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Sreesanth + Cricket ball = You seem to love donkey's too much, kya gf nahi hai? :hysterical: Joke btw in case mods get offended.
Sir john Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Pakistan's line-up of defensive batsmen, and West Indies' one act of defiance :cleveland: http://www.espncricinfo.com/magazine/content/story/539958.html pak play for draw nowdays or safe cricket. :hmmmm::hmmmm:
ganeshran Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Watching Pakistan playing Test cricket is like watching paint dry. The whole team seems to bat in two gears - block or slog. No one in the team except YK knows how to play the middle ground. They are a much better ODI side though.
saneindian Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Take a bow Rahul Dravid What a fantastic year Dravid is having. 5 100s this year with more to come, this at a time when the batting lineup has underachieved. If you go back to last 12 months since the NZ tour, 7 100s, 1300+ runs at nearly 60. Take a bow RD. :hatsoff:
vamos_rafa Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 :hatsoff:.. Howeve, I just hope that this doesn't turn into a Sachin bashing thread now.
