Manu80 Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 I am amused to see Pakistanis treating Inzamam as an all time great player. His record say he was an average player who scored heavily against teams having mediocre bowling line up.On fast and bouncy pitches he was an absolute crap. But the Partial Imran termed him as the best player of Fast bowling..How funny
BeautifulGame Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Well we consider Srinath as an all time great bowler. Its somewhat similar to that. Is Inzamam an cricketing legend or great ? Probably no. But is he an All time Pakistani great.Probably yes.
Rajiv Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 I hope this isn't some retaliatory mock thread for something you elsewhere. If you really enjoy conspiracy theories, hallucinated responses then kindly response on those respective sites If Paks feel that Inzy is all time great, its their choice. There are numerous ratings which have sketched out the best of the best so facts are out there, depends if you accept it or ignore it

Stuge Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 He was a great player .No doubt about that ,but all time great hmm NO .anyway ,Who cares what padosis think .
Hur Rizvi Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Not an all time great but certainly a wonderful player... Avges 50 for Pakistan which is commendable... best batsman for Pakistan are Miandad Inzi hanif Muhammad Yousuf
bajrang Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 since he is the best they have got, they are going to consider him all time great.

daryl1985 Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Inzamam better than Tendulkar according to some.
achilles Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 He's a good player and one of the best his country has produced.
ganeshran Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 He is a decent player and had used to get in position really early to play his shots. But ATG? No he isnt
Hur Rizvi Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Against Quality attacks and challenging environments he was an absolute crap Thats why i call him only pakistani great not an all time gr8.he had the talent but didnt perform to his potential... but he has match winning innings against all teams
Manu80 Posted November 22, 2011 Author Posted November 22, 2011 In test matches his average in Australia,South Africa and England are very ordinary. If there is one celebrated "Home Track Bully" ever in International Cricket it is this guy Inzamam.Yet some term him as Great and went on to compare him with Sachin....LOL

Except Sachin, there is hardly any batsman who averages over 40 in all countries or against all countries. Almost all good/great batsman average very less in 2-3 countries. He is certainly one of the best Pakistani batsman.
ganeshran Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Inzamam was not a HTB or FTB. He wasnt brilliant against pace (like Imran claimed) but he didnt struggle against it either, just that he never clicked in Australia or South Africa.

That happened with most of the better Pakistani players of 90s and 2000s.
